FanDuel DFS Pitchers

Zack Wheeler, NYM vs DET ($9,500)

Wheeler might not look like an appealing option with a 4.74 ERA, but his underlying metrics suggest that he's pitched much better than this number. Wheeler's 3.21 FIP and 3.45 Deserved Run Average are more accurate measures of his true talent, and they show that Wheeler has been pitching at the same level as last year. In fact, Wheeler has a career-high 25.9% K-rate. That gives him lots of upside against a Tigers lineup that has a 26.1% strikeout rate against righties, third-highest in all of baseball. The Tigers also have just a .279 wOBA versus right-handers, so you should expect a strong start from Wheeler this afternoon.

Spencer Turnbull, DET at NYM ($7,700)

It looks like we may have a pitcher's duel in New York - that makes sense considering the Mets play in an extremely pitcher-friendly park. The banged up Mets lineup is one to target right now, as they're missing multiple starters in Jeff McNeil, Robinson Cano, and Brandon Nimmo to injury. Turnbull has just a 2.68 ERA this year and is a nice value option in this matchup.

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Jose Abreu, CWS at MIN ($3,700)

Abreu continues to be one of the most undervalued power options at first base, as he's already got 13 homers and 42 RBI on the season. He will be able to rack up counting stats as the White Sox three-hitter and is pretty much matchup-proof at this point.

Jonathan Schoop, MIN vs. CWS ($3,300)

The Twins lineup is one of the best in baseball, and they should have another huge day against White Sox starter Dylan Covey. Covey has 16 walks to seven strikeouts, which is remarkably bad, as well as a 5.31 ERA. Schoop has an awesome 122 wRC+ against right-handed pitching this year and is one of the only affordable Twins bats. At a weak second base position, he is a fantastic play.

Mike Moustakas, MIL vs. PHI ($3,600)

Moustakas has been mashing for the Brewers this year, slugging .549 with 13 homers. He's always worth a look at home in Milwaukee, one of the best hitter's parks in the league. Moose will have plenty of RBI opportunities out of the cleanup spot and should be considered in GPP contests for his power upside.

Francisco Lindor, CLE vs TAM ($3,600)

Lindor is on fire right now, batting .304 with three homers and three steals over the last two weeks. Lindor's combination of power and speed is one of the best you can find, and he's got lots of run scoring ability as the Indians leadoff hitter. Invest while you can, as Lindor's price will balloon if he keeps playing like this.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Shohei Ohtani, LAA vs TEX ($3,400)

Even though he's off to a cold start, I still like Ohtani as a buy low option against a righty today. He's quite cheap for a guy batting third, and Ohtani should have ample RBI chances behind Mike Trout. Ohtani had 22 homers in only 367 plate appearances last season, so he can give you strong power output.

Raimel Tapia, COL vs. BAL ($3,100)

Maximizing the number of plate appearances you can get in Coors Field is a simple yet effective strategy. Therefore, Tapia is a fantastic option as the Rockies leadoff hitter. The Rockies and Orioles have been beating up on each other in the league's most hitter-friendly environment, and you should expect more of the same today. Tapia is an essential part of a Rockies stack.
