DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider

Brent Suter - P, at PHI (DK - $6,800, FD - $6,700)

Brewers starter Brent Suter has been very solid in his 32 major league innings this season, putting up a 3.09 ERA with a 2.81 FIP. While he won't rack up many strikeouts, he can still give you some strong innings, especially against the Phillies. Philadelphia has just a .304 wOBA against righties this season, so Suter should roll through them with ease. For such a low price, you can take Suter and spend big on your bats.

Danny Salazar - P, vs TOR (DK - $7,100, FD - $7,900)

Coming off of the disabled list, Indians starter Danny Salazar is a risky play. However, he has more strikeout upside than just about any other pitcher on the entire slate, as Salazar had a 30.9% K-rate before hitting the shelf. If Salazar returns to his 2016 form, where he posted a 3.87 ERA in 137 1/3 innings, he will be an absolute steal at this price. The Blue Jays have been surprisingly bad against righties this year, with a .311 wOBA, so grabbing Salazar can pay off big time.

DFS Infielders to Consider

Alex Avila - C, at MIN (DK - $3,600, FD - $2,400)

Tigers backstop Alex Avila has had an insanely productive season for a catcher, putting up a .286/.416/.508 line in 70 games, good for a 149 wRC+. He's facing one of the worst starters in baseball in Kyle Gibson, who has a 6.29 ERA in 87 1/3 innings this season. Avila's especially valuable on FanDuel, where he's coming in around punt prices.

Josh Bell - 1B, at COL (DK - 3,700, FD - $3,900)

Usually I avoid recommending Coors Field bats, as they are usually insanely expensive. However, Bell slipped under the radar and is still at a cheap price, which gives him insane value. Coors Field is the most hitter friendly environment in baseball, and Bell's got a .949 OPS in the last 15 days. He is almost impossible to pass up on DraftKings.

Jonathan Villar - 2B, at PHI (DK - 3,700, FD - $2,900)

While Villar hasn't had the season fantasy owners wanted out of him, he's still got a nice power/speed combo, with eight homers and 18 steals so far. And in the middle of the Brewers explosive lineup, he's always got a chance for runs and RBI. Against Jeremy Hellickson, who has a 5.53 FIP, that lineup should score lots of runs, and Villar will be very involved.

Mike Moustakas - 3B, vs CHW (DK - $3,700, FD - $3,400)

Moose has been an elite power option this season with 25 homers, and he can add to that total against Mike Pelfrey. Pelfrey has a garbage 5.32 FIP and serves up homers at 1.34 per nine. There's a high chance that Moustakas goes deep off of him, or at least rattles off a few doubles.

Chris Owings - SS, vs WAS (DK - $3,700, FD - $2,800)

Any time he's playing at home, Chris Owings is worth a look, at one of the best hitter's parks in Arizona. Owings can put up fantasy points in plenty of different ways, with 12 homers and 12 steals this season in a loaded DBacks offense. His opposing pitcher, Tanner Roark, has struggled mightily with his 4.98 ERA.

DFS Outfielders to Consider

Mallex Smith - OF, vs TEX (DK - $3,100, FD - $2,800)

As the Rays leadoff hitter, Mallex Smith is in a great position to score lots of runs while racking up steals and hits against Andrew Cashner. Cashner's got a 4.56 FIP, which suggests that he's been lucky to have a 3.58 ERA, and that regression is on its way. Whether you're considering a Rays stack or just need a standalone outfielder, Smith is a fantastic option.

Christian Yelich - OF, at CIN (DK - $3,900, FD - $3,500)

Now's a great time to buy low on Yelich, as he's beginning to heat up again, hitting for a .961 OPS in the last 15 days. Cincinnati is an outstanding park for hitters, and opposing starter Robert Stephenson has an unreal 8.03 ERA. Yelich's patient approach, with a 10% walk-rate and 18.8% k-rate, should play well against Stephenson's 13.2% walk-rate.

Joc Pederson - OF, vs ATL (DK - $3,700, FD - $3,100)

Joc Pederson has been crushing the ball since returning from the disabled list, putting up a 1.026 OPS in the last month. He's a huge power threat, and can rack up RBI in the Dodgers lineup. Joc gets to face Julio Teheran, who has a poor 4.69 ERA, with an even worse 5.37 FIP.
