Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (6/25/17): MLB DFS Advice for FanDuel and DraftKings

This Sunday has a full slate of games, so it's time to build some lineups. With several different contests being offered across FanDuel and DraftKings, you'll have lots of different lineup options. For our purposes, the following picks have been made for contests running all day.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DFS on 6/25/17. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @TroyKlauder.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider

Randall Delgado vs. PHI - (DK - $5,700, FD - $6,300)

Diamondbacks pitcher Randall Delgado was named the starter for Sunday's game out of the blue on Saturday, making him an under-the-radar play for dirt cheap. In his four starts this season, Delgado was outstanding, with a 24.7% K-rate and a 4.9% walk-rate. He faces an incredibly weak Phillies lineup that is 28th in wOBA against right-handers, with a .300 mark. Despite this, Delgado remains insanely cheap, so he's nearly impossible to pass up on Sunday.

Brandon McCarthy vs. COL - (DK - $7,500, FD - $8,000)

If you're afraid of the Rockies lineup, just remember that they play their home games at Coors Field, the best offensive environment in baseball, which inflates their numbers. On the road, the Rockies aren't really a good lineup, as their .308 wOBA ranks them 21st among all other teams away from home. With this in mind, Brandon McCarthy makes for a great play. His stellar 2.87 ERA through 12 starts is supported by his 3.17 FIP, and in his last 34 1/3 innings, he's got an even better 1.57 ERA. McCarthy is rolling through lineups like it's nothing, and it should be no different against Colorado, and he comes at a very efficient price.

DFS Infielders to Consider

Catcher (C)

Martin Maldonado @ BOS - (DK - $3,400, FD - $2,200)

Especially on FanDuel, where he's coming in at punt level prices, Angels catcher Martin Maldonado makes for a smart move at catcher on Sunday. He's been strong over the last 15 days, putting up an .895 OPS with three homers. He faces Doug Fister, who is making his first start of the season, after posting a 4.64 ERA last year and struggling in his three triple-A starts this season. At Fenway Park, Maldonado can do some damage off of Fister.

First Base (1B)

Hanley Ramirez vs. BOS - (DK - $3,800, FD - $3,100)

HanRam has fallen on tough times recently, but that's good news for us daily fantasy players, as his price is now quite low despite his great matchup. Ramirez faces Parker Bridwell, who is not a Civil War general, but actually an Angels starter. He walked five his last time out and has a 6.14 FIP in his 14 1/3 innings this year. Cash in on Hanley while he's this cheap, because he can put up a ton of fantasy points at home in Fenway.

Second Base (2B)

Starlin Castro vs. TEX - (DK - $3,800, FD - $3,300)

The Yankees lineup is going to go off on Nick Martinez in the Bronx on Sunday, so get as many Yankees into your lineup as you can. This includes Starlin Castro, who in particular is coming in at nice prices. Castro is crushing the ball this season, posting a .316/.352/.493 line, good for a 123 wRC+. His opposition, Nick Martinez, has a 4.33 ERA and an even worse 5.66 FIP. It's an easy decision to roll with Castro.

Shortstop (SS)

Jorge Polanco @ CLE - (DK - $3,300, FD - $2,900)

There's plenty of expensive options to choose from at shortstop on Sunday, but if you want a value play, look to Jorge Polanco. In his last week, Polanco's got a .905 OPS, and he faces off against Josh Tomlin. Tomlin has been getting absolutely shelled this year, as he has a 6.07 ERA. He's an easy target, so pair Polanco with another Twins hitter or two for an effective mini-stack.

Third Base (3B)

Ryon Healy @ CHW (DK - $3,300, FD - $3,100)

It's true that Ryon Healy is in a cold spell right now, but he's been way too good of a hitter this season to be this cheap already. Healy's rocking a 117 wRC+ with 17 homers, and he can add to that total on Sunday against Derek Holland. Healy has absolutely murdered lefties this year, with a 207 wRC+ against them, and will be at a great ballpark for hitting them out in Chicago. Bombs away!

DFS Outfielders to Consider

Denard Span vs. NYM - (DK - $3,600, FD - $3,000)

As the Giants leadoff man, Denard Span can put up some big fantasy numbers on Sunday against Rafael Montero. Span has batted .305 in the last month, and while he doesn't have much power or speed, he can hit the ball and score some runs. That's all you need against Montero, who has a 6.49 ERA. Span will likely get five or more plate appearances if the Giants run up the score, so that's a ton of potential for production out of him.

Dwight Smith Jr. @ KC - (DK - $2,500, FD - $2,100)

Don't sleep on Dwight Smith Jr.! Now that he's got everyday playing time with the Jays, he's taken advantage by batting .429 in his last 15 days. He faces the struggling Jason Hammel, owner of a 4.83 ERA on the year. Smith will likely be at very low ownership, so he can give you even more valuable production on Sunday.

Seth Smith @ TB - (DK - $3,600, FD - $3,200)

Sometimes you just can't go wrong with a leadoff hitter. At the top of the Orioles lineup, Seth Smith can rack up fantasy points with the Orioles lineup behind him. Smith has got a .906 OPS in his last 15 days and is at more than fair prices on Sunday. He may not be the most exciting play, but Smith can give you some good points for cheap while you spend big elsewhere.
