FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (5/28/17): MLB DFS Advice

Good Morning Rotoballers! We have an 11 game slate at the mid point of this long weekend, and it looks to be a good one. As of now, there are only two games with weather concerns, DET @ CWS and KAN @ CLE. Just be sure to check if there are any potential delays. Great options at every position today whether you are looking for cash games plays or GPPs. So sit back, read up, and let's win some contests.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 5/28/2017. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options, and of course, value plays

You can read our DraftKings and Yahoo DFS lineup picks as well. If you want to contact me, send me a message on Twitter at @DFS_Tom. Let's Cook.

Offensive Stacks

Boston Red Sox vs Christian Bergman

Bergman is coming off of his worst start of the year where he gave up 14 H, 2 BB, 10 ER in just 4 IP. Really rough numbers for him, and things aren't going to get much easier going into Boston, vs a team who is finally turning it up when it comes to their offense. The Sox offense will be expensive to stack, but you should try and have some exposure to them, since the blowup potential by Bergman is huge. Stack any players 1-9 for the Sox, minus Leon at catcher...he isn't good.

Texas Rangers vs Joe Biagini

Biagini hasn't lasted more than 5 IP in his last four starts. Not sure if Toronto is trying to limit his arm, but they are quick to pull him out. He has given up 8 ER over his last two starts combined, and only 6 SO. He can't punch players out at the plate, and if they get on, the Rangers should be able to capitalize on his mistakes. Rangers may be lower owned on this slate, since the Yankees, Astros, Red Sox and Nationals are all playing.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers

Michael Pineda - P, vs OAK ($9,100)

Pineda is having a very solid season so far, and has put up six or more strikeouts in eight of his nine starts this year. Borderline elite numbers, and he is up against an Oakland team who strikeout 23% of the time versus right-handed pitchers, which is fourth worst in the league. Pineda has 61 SO in 53.2 IP, so a nice average of more than one strikeout per inning. He is bound to give up a few hits and runs, but the strikeout upside, and consistency, makes him a great cash game play.

Joe Ross - P, vs SDP ($7,500)

Ross makes a great tournament play today, and is coming off of his best start of the year. In his last start, he went 8 IP, with only 5 Hits and 1 ER. Really strong numbers in his first start since being recalled from Triple-A. He is a good mid tier pitcher who has the upside, since he is facing off against the Padres who have a 25% strikeout rate vs right-handed pitching. Due to his lack of sample size, some DFS players may shy away from him, and you could get him lower owned in tournaments.

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Salvador Perez - C, @ TOR ($3,200)

Perez is one of the better catchers when it comes to DFS. Many people punt the catcher spot, since not a ton of production comes from there, and the salary is better used elsewhere. But Perez is really seeing the ball well vs right-handed pitching this year, with a .401 wOBA and a .296 ISO. He makes a great cash game play, and a good one off in a tournament lineup, since he has the home run upside you need.

Joey Votto - 1B, @ PHI ($4,500)

Votto is expensive, but he has a great match up today. He is up against a right-handed pitcher, and this year when facing them, he has a .405 wOBA and a .260 ISO. He is at Philly today, which is a solid home run hitting park, and there also should be a bit of wind. Great for cash games and tournament stacks.

Jonathan Schoop - 2B, @ HOU ($3,100)

Schoop is a bit of a reverse splits hitter, he does better vs right-handed pitchers compared to vs left-handed pitchers. He has a .365 wOBA and a .230 ISO vs RHP this season, and is in a hitters park at Houston, so this is the time you want to target him. He isn't too expensive, and could be used in cash or in tournaments.

Travis Shaw - 3B, vs ARI ($3,800)

Shaw is really having himself a nice season, and is putting up numbers regardless of match up. He has a .370 wOBA and a .244 ISO versus left-handed pitching. Shaw also has a .484 SLG at home, which is a great hitters park, so expect plenty of runs in this game, and Shaw is a mid-priced option to get you some exposure to it.

Deven Marrero - SS, vs SEA ($2.500)

Marrero is listed as a shortstop, but he has been seeing some playing time at third for the Red Sox. He is a bit of a punt play, almost a min salary, and will allow you the salary savings to fit a higher priced stack in your lineup. He does have plenty of upside being the in the Red Sox lineup, he has four straight games of 10 or more FanDuel points, so this isn't a complete punt play, but just not super consistent.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Aaron Judge - OF, vs OAK ($4,100)

Judge is on a bit of a cold streak, and hasn't scored more than 9 Fanduel points in his last six games. But, this is the time to hop on, and get him at a lower ownership, if you are a tournament player. His price has come down a few hundred dollars, this is the perfect spot for you to be on him, before he has a big game. Don't want to be a day late on his ownership.

Kevin Kiermaier - OF, @ MIN ($3,000)

Kiermaier is too cheap today, simply just too cheap. He makes a great play for cash games or as a one off in tournament lineups. He has a .329 wOBA and a .126 ISO vs right-handed pitching. Kiermaier bats high in the order for the Rays, and is a great option if you are going to stack them. He is often over looked on his team, and leaves him in the perfect spot to be lower owned in tournaments.

Aaron Altherr - OF, vs CIN ($3,500)

Altherr is a great young player in the Majors, and has some solid numbers this season. He has a .422 wOBA and a .279 ISO vs right-handed pitching this season. He makes a great cash game play since he isn't too expensive. Altherr also has a bit of stolen base upside, if you want to roster him in tournaments.
