Barry Leonard Jr. highlights the top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for 8/15/16. These are the top value and sleeper plays for your DraftKings MLB DFS lineups.

It's a rather light slate on DraftKings for Monday's contests, as just nine games are eligible to be used. The afternoon game between Boston and Cleveland is not included in any contests today.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for DraftKings on 8/15/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on DraftKings. The following targets have been selected for all day contests on DraftKings.

Editor's Note: Purchase a full season NFL Premium Pass (including Draft Kit + DFS Premium), and also get MLB Premium + DFS for free through October. Premium DFS lineup picks, expert lineups, tools and more - seven days a week. You can see screenshots of our NFL Premium and MLB Premium and DFS tools. What are you waiting for?

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on DraftKings

Miami Marlins vs. Brandon Finnegan (LHP)

Miami hitters should be ready take some good swings at Brandon Finnegan today. Although he's won two of his last three starts, Finnegan has a 7-8 record to go with an ERA of 4.45 this season. He's struggled at home this season, putting up a record of 3-3 with a 4.31 ERA. The Marlins boast some talented right-handed hitters to face the southpaw tonight in the form of Martin Prado, J.T. Realmuto, and Marcell Ozuna. Dee Gordon has been extremely hot and should also be part of a stack.

Washington Nationals vs. Jorge De La Rosa (LHP)

The Nationals are in a great spot for a lineup stack tonight thanks to a game at Coors Field. Opposing starter Jorge De La Rosa has an ERA of 5.25 and has only one win in his last four starts. Righties have hit .282 with 10 home runs against him this season. That's good news for the likes of Trea Turner, Anthony Rendon, and Jayson Werth.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on DraftKings

Matt Moore, SF vs. PIT - $8,800

On a night in which there are not a lot of great pitching matchups to choose from, Matt Moore stands out as one to target. Despite failing to pick up a win in his first two starts with San Francisco, he's given up just two runs in each start while striking out a total of 14 batters. Tonight he makes his first home start against a beatable Pittsburgh lineup. Expect a low ERA and near double-digit strikeouts from Moore.

Bartolo Colon, NYM at ARI - $6,800

Colon gets a rematch today of his last start and will be looking to avenge a loss to the Diamondbacks. Despite pitching well, allowing just one run while striking out eight in seven innings, Colon was hit with the loss. Still, he's a good option today considering that current Arizona hitters have a lifetime average of just .212 against him.

DFS Infielders to Consider on DraftKings

Catcher (C)

J.T. Realmuto, MIA at CIN - $3,600

As mentioned above, Realmuto is a good play as part of a Miami stack. He should be used regardless of a stack with a southpaw on the mound tonight. Realmuto got the day off Sunday and should be rested for tonight's game. He's averaging seven fantasy points a game and put up 15 on Saturday night.

First Base (1B)

Daniel Descalso, COL vs. WAS - $3,000

Selecting Descalso will save you a ton of valuable cap space without giving up much production. He's hitting .306 for the season and .323 at home. Surprisingly, all three of his home runs have come away form Coors Field. Descalso averages 5.1 fantasy points a game and is 1-for-4 with a home run against opposing starter Max Scherzer.

Second Base (2B)

Ian Kinsler, DET vs. KC - $4,300

Kinsler remains as one of the top choices at second base for fantasy baseball. He's been very productive for daily owners, averaging over nine fantasy points a game. July 30 was the last time he failed to produce any daily fantasy points. Kinsler possess good power and has an average that's near .300. He's 7-for-12 lifetime against Ian Kennedy and enters today with hits in each of his last three games.

Shortstop (SS)

Brad Miller, TB vs. SD - $5,300

It's hard to believe that Brad Miller is now sitting with a price tag over $5,000, but the guy has been one of the best fantasy players available recently. He's got three multi-hit contests in his last six games and is hitting .306 in August. 16 of his 22 home runs have come at Tropicana Field, so go ahead and pay the big price for him tonight. He gets a good matchup with southpaw Luis Perdomo on the mound.

Third Base (3B)

Kyle Seager, SEA at LAA - $4,500

Seager has been quite the daily fantasy commodity lately, registering at least seven fantasy points in seven of his last eight games. He has racked up double-digit fantasy points three times in the last five games and is coming off a huge game Sunday in which he doubled twice and drove in four runs.

DFS Outfielders to Consider on DraftKings

Denard Span, SF vs. PIT - $4,900

Span is 5-for-15 lifetime against Ryan Vogelsong with two doubles. The veteran leadoff man can provide solid production from a fantasy perspective, as he can hit for average and flash his speed on the bases. Span has been streaky this year, but he's hitting over .300 in August, so things could be turning around for him.

Jayson Werth, WAS at COL- $5,400

Werth has a price tag higher than normal tonight, but that's because of the Coors Field factor. The veteran outfielder enters the matchup with a four-game hit streak and an average of 7.6 fantasy points a game. He's got a .294 lifetime average versus Jorge De La Rosa with a home run. Werth makes for a great play both as a stack or on his own.

Kole Calhoun, LAA vs. SEA - $3,200

This one is a complete sleeper pick and a bit of a reach, but it's necessary to make some of the other big bats fit under the salary cap. Calhoun has been fairly solid this season, batting .271 with 12 homers and an OPS of .767. Although hitless in his last two games, he homered Friday night and has two double-digit fantasy performances in the last six games. Target Calhoun for tournaments, as he'll have a very low ownership number given his lifetime .122 average against Felix Hernandez.
