DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks (4/30/16-5/1/16): NBA DFS Advice

By Keith Allison [CC-BY-SA-2.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.0)], via Wikimedia Commons

Demetri Raftopoulos highlights the top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for 4/30/16-5/1/16. These are the top value and sleeper plays for your DraftKings NBA DFS lineups.

Tonight's article features players from the only game on Saturday and three on Sunday. The Oklahoma City Thunder visit the San Antonio Spurs for the first game of their second round showdown Saturday night.

Another second round series begins on Sunday, with the Stephen Curry-less Golden State Warriors hosting the Portland Trailblazers. Sunday's part of the slate also consists of two game sevens between the Charlotte Hornets and the Miami Heat, and the Indiana Pacers and the Toronto Raptors.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy NBA lineup picks for DraftKings on 4/30/16-5/1/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players, to mid-priced options, and value plays on DraftKings.

DraftKings DFS Point Guards

Russell Westbrook (at SA, $10,800)

San Antonio's tough defense doesn't necessarily scare me when it comes to Daily Fantasy. Often stressed upon when drafting lineups, it can easily be ignored for someone like Russell Westbrook. Westy has one thing on his mind; advancing to the next round to potentially, and likely, face the Golden State Warriors. First stop, game one in San Antonio.

Westbrook has been on fire so far in the playoffs, posting a double-double in all five games versus the Dallas Mavericks. He was an assist shy of a triple-double in the decisive game five, and will look to continue his production against the Spurs Saturday night.

Shaun Livingston (vs POR, $5,100)

It's difficult to fade Livingston and the other Warriors on this list when Stephen Curry is expected to miss game one versus the Portland Trailblazers on Sunday. It seems that any time Curry is absent from the rest of the lineup, everybody rises to the occasion. Starting with the guy who will start for him in game one.

Livingston has not blown anyone away with his performances but he exceeded expectation and projection in 25-30 minutes played each game during round one. He's capable of flirting with a double-double and is a consistent stat-spreader.

DraftKings DFS Shooting Guards

Klay Thompson (vs POR, $8,200)

Klay continues to step up in the absence of Curry and has become the Warriors number one scoring threat. He's most affective when attempting a ton from behind the arc and has impressed from downtown over his last two games. Over that two game span, Thompson has shot 7-11 from long range in both. The Trailblazers have struggled defending the two guard all season, so we can expect Klay to take advance of their shoddy defense.

Manu Ginobli (vs OKC, $3,400)

Ginobli is a cheap option at the two spot, one more than capable of hitting and exceeding projection. His stats won't jump off the page, but is a threat coming off the bench and could be utilized more against a fast-paced Thunder team based on his experience. He is a threat from downtown and should play over 20 minutes in game one.

DraftKings DFS Small Forwards

Paul George (at TOR, $10,100)

There's nothing quite like a game seven in the playoffs. It's where heroes are born and where most superstars step up in a time of need. PG13 is also very expensive but could certainly prove to be worth every penny. George exploded for 30+ points in game one, and game five, while posting a double-double in game three and game six. Look for George to lead the Indiana Pacers in a crucial win-or-go-home final first round game of their series versus the Toronto Raptors.

Al-Farouq Aminu (at GS, $5,600)

If the Trailblazers have any chance of keeping up with the Warriors and staying competitive throughout the series, they'll need production from their forwards. The Warriors have struggled against small forwards this season, opening a door for Aminu to step through and produce for Daily Fantasy.

Aminu is coming off a mediocre performance in the decisive game six against the Los Angeles Clippers, but had a fairly productive series in the first round. Aminu posted two double-doubles, including a 30 points and 10 rebounds performance in game four. He's a consistent double-double threat and will look to make a statement for the Trailblazers in game one.

DraftKings DFS Power Forwards

Myles Turner (at TOR, $5,500)

Turner is an affordable option at the four spot, and has been producing well for Daily Fantasy. Playing over 30 minutes in his past two contests, Turner has been one and two rebounds shy for double-doubles in both. He also posted seven blocks over that span. He's hit projection in four of six games so far, and will play a crucial role in Indiana's offense and defense as they look to advance to the next round.

Draymond Green (vs POR, $10,200)

While it'll be tough to afford Green alongside Thompson and Westbrook, Draymond is another really solid option for this four game slate. Draymond has been a consistent triple-double threat all season, and has flirted with one in each game against the Houston Rockets in round one. Draymond is also a beneficiary of the injury to Steph Curry, as he too has stepped up in his absence. The Trailblazers had no trouble taking down the Clippers once Chris Paul and Blake Griffin both went down. They'll definitely have a tougher time against a team with a better supporting cast.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Al Jefferson (at MIA, $5,000)

Jefferson has had a very productive series and has excelled in his tough task of keeping up with Hassan Whiteside. He's reached or exceeded expectation in all six games of the series. An affordable option at center, Jefferson is a consistent double-double threat that doesn't need to do much to affect a fantasy lineup.
