DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (4/30/16): MLB DFS Advice

It's a full Saturday today with games happening all day. The DFS lineup combinations are virtually endless. You'll have to pay attention though when drafting your team, as all players may not be available depending on which DraftKings contests your participate in.

There is a some good value available at the pitcher spot today with no real aces taking the mound. You'll want to look for some good matchups and players who've been pitching well recently.

As for hitters, some of the usuals will be in play, but so will a few sleepers who could fly u under the radar today.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for DraftKings on 4/30/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on DraftKings.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on DraftKings

Chicago Cubs vs. Julio Teheran (RHP)

Teheran has struggled to the tune of three losses and an ERA of 4.60 this season. He's had trouble getting outs and faces a very tough Cubs offense today. Dexter Fowler has three home runs against right-handers so far and makes for a great play today. Anthony Rizzo also makes for a strong option as a lineup stack. Miguel Montero hasn't fared well against Teheran in his career, but has six RBI against righties this season.

Boston Red Sox vs. Michael Pineda (RHP)

Pineda has had a rough time of it so far this season. His record is 1-2 and his ERA is sitting at 6.95 and he just got lit up for seven runs in his last outing. Several Red Sox have had success against Pineda over their careers. Mookie Betts has two home runs in just 12 at-bats against the right-hander. Xander Bogaerts, David Ortiz and Jackie Bradley Jr. also make for good stacking options against Pineda today.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on DraftKings

Rick Porcello, BOS vs NYY - $8,200

Porcello has been a pleasant surprise for owners this season, racking up wins in his first four starts. It hasn't been pretty though, as he had an ERA near five before shutting out the Braves in his last start. Still, he's getting strikeouts while limiting walks and has been getting good run support. Today he'll face a New York team that's had its share of struggles this season.

J.A. Happ, TOR at TB - $8,400

Happ is 3-0 on the season and has proven to provide some fantasy value, especially in DFS contests when the matchup is good. Today, although it's on the road, he'll get the Rays, one of the worst hitting teams in the league. He won't get a lot of strikeouts (failing to strike out more than four in any start this year) but he doesn't allow a lot of runs, posting a respectable ERA of 2.42.

DFS Infielders to Consider on DraftKings

Catcher (C)

Francisco Cervelli, PIT vs. CIN- $3,300

Catcher is always a position to find some hidden value for DFS lineups. Tonight's pick isn't very hidden, as he's been a popular one in recent weeks. Pittsburgh's Francisco Cervelli is having a fantastic season. Although he doesn't hit for power, he's hitting over .300 and gets on base. His matchup tonight is a favorable one, making him one to target at catcher.

First Base (1B)

Anthony Rizzo, CHC vs. ATL - $4,800

Rizzo has been hitting the ball deep this season and is currently among the league leaders in home runs and RBI. Unfortunately, it's been feast or famine for the first baseman, as his average is just above .200. As highlighted above, the Cubs make for an excellent stack today and Rizzo could be in line for a big day.

Second Base (2B)

Rougned Odor, LAA at TEX - $4,300

Odor is up with the high-priced second basemen today despite having a sub-par batting average.  He's been able to produce runs and can also provide value with stolen bases. Today he'll go up against Matt Shoemaker, someone he has a home run and two RBI against in 12 at-bats.

Shortstop (SS)

Xander Bogaerts, NYY at BOS - $3,900

As mentioned above, Bogaerts is a great option either as part of a Boston stack or just as an individual pick against New York's Michael Pineda. Bogaerts brings both speed and the ability to get on base. A few options at shortstop are really good today, but go for the Boston infielder.

Third Base (3B)

Nick Castellanos, DET at MIN - $3,200

With some big sluggers at third base, Castellanos is easily overlooked. However, he shouldn't be. He's batting over .300 and has been a sneaky play for DFS lineups lately and that will continue today. He's going up against Minnesota's Tyler Duffey, someone whom he owns a .500 career average against.

DFS Outfielders to Consider on DraftKings

Jeremy Hazelbaker, STL vs. WAS - $3,800

Hazelbaker has continued his torrid start to the season. He gets a tough match with Joe Ross today, who's been impressive for the Nats, but Hazelbaker has hit righties well this season. With so many options today, some fantasy players could overlook him, making him a great play in a hitter's ballpark.

Rajai Davis, CLE at PHI - $3,100

Davis has enjoyed his move to Cleveland this season and has been solid as the Tribe's leadoff man. He's hitting for a good average and has the ability to steal a base each time he gets on. He doesn't have much power, but the combination of speed and the fact that he's been getting on base at a good clip make him a useful leadoff hitter and one to target for today's DraftKings contests.

Giancarlo Stanton, MIA vs. MIL- $5,300

With plenty of value on the board tonight you can afford to spend on a big bat. Stanton is well worth his price, as he's a threat to go deep each time he's at the plate. You'd like his average to be higher, but the RBI and dingers are perfect for DFS. He's never gone yard against opposint starter Chase Anderson, but he does hold a lifetime .333 average against him.
