DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (4/23/16): MLB DFS Advice

Yet another Saturday brings us another very busy day around Major League Baseball as every team will be in action. With afternoon start times as well as evening games, there will be plenty of contests for you to participate on DraftKings.

When looking at the probable pitchers today, no real aces are on the mound, meaning that you'll have to really look for favorable matchups. There should be plenty of pitcher value available today, giving you more cap space to spend on offense.

Two teams that have been playing very well recently are the Chicago White Sox and the Washington Nationals, so pay attention to the matchups in their games.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for DraftKings on 4/23/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on DraftKings.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on DraftKings

Washington Nationals vs. Phil Hughes (RHP)

The Nationals continue to hit the ball well and make for great stack today against Phil Hughes. The veteran right-hander has struggled this season with a 1-2 record and an ERA of 4.42. With a righty on the mound, look for big days from Bryce Harper and Daniel Murphy.

Detroit Tigers vs. Corey Kluber (RHP)

Despite not having a ton of dangerous left-handed hitters in the lineup, the Tigers make for a good stack today against Corey Kluber. Cleveland's ace has struggled to start the season, posting a record of 0-3 with an ERA of 6.16. Detroit slugger Miguel Cabrera owns a career .543 average and five home runs against Kluber. Victor Martinez has also been successful, hitting three homers with a .360 average against the righty.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on DraftKings

Michael Wacha, STL at SD - $8,900

Wacha draws a very favorable matchup today in a park that's friendly to pitchers. Of the current San Diego hitters, only Derek Norris has a career average over .200 against Wacha. In his last start Wacha gave up one run in six innings but didn't factor in the decision. The right-hander has posted a 1-0 record with a 2.76 ERA on the season. Outside of Matt Kemp, the Padres do not feature a scary lineup, making Wacha a must-start today.

DFS Infielders to Consider on DraftKings

Catcher (C)

Jarrod Saltalamacchia, DET vs. CLE- $3,400

Saltalamacchia has had a fantastic start to the season and continues to be a solid DFS play at catcher. He's racked up double-digit fantasy points on DraftKings four times in the last six games. The Tigers make for a good stack today, so be sure to plug Saltalamacchia into your lineup.

First Base (1B)

Miguel Cabrera, DET vs. CLE - $3,600

The veteran first baseman hasn't been putting up typical numbers to start this season, but he seems to be seeing the ball well recently. His lower numbers have kept his salary below what it typically would be, making the perfect opportunity to cash in today. Cabrera has pounded opposing starter Corey Kluber in his career and makes for an excellent play.

Second Base (2B)

Daniel Murphy, WAS vs. MIN - $4,600

The matchup with a struggling Phil Hughes has already been highlighted, and Murphy should be able to benefit. He's had a hot start to his career in Washington and has been very productive for his fantasy owners. It's hard to go wrong with Murphy right now.

Shortstop (SS)

Trevor Story, COL vs LA - $5,200

Drafting Story will cost you precious cap space, but it's hard to pass him up at home. He's pounded the ball at Coors Field this season and currently looks like a top power hitter. He is averaging double-digit DraftKings points and has only disappointed his owners a few times this season. You'll have to find value elsewhere, but Story at home is too good to pass up.

Third Base (3B)

Manny Machado, BAL at KC - $4,800

It's a toss-up between Machado and Donaldson, but I'll take the guy with a bit of a cheaper salary. The Orioles have hit the ball well this season, with Machado being one of the leaders. He's been a fantasy beast so far has five-game streak of double-digit fantasy points. The third baseman has one hit, a double, in three career at-bats against tonight's starter Kris Medlen.

DFS Outfielders to Consider on DraftKings

Mookie Betts, BOS at HOU - $4,800

Betts struggled to start the year, and still has a low average, but he's really heated up as of late. Hitting at the top of Boston's lineup, he'll have plenty of opportunities. He's shown an outburst of power lately and has been very productive for fantasy owners. Still, the low average could keep his ownership down. Take him today and hope his hot play continues.

Christian Yelich, MIA at SF - $3,800

AT&T Park isn't the best place for hitters, but Yelich gets a very favorable matchup with a struggling Jake Peavy. Yelich has been hitting the ball well this season with an average well over .300. He averages close to 10 fantasy points a game and is a sneaky play for your lineup today.

J.D. Martinez, DET vs. CLE- $4,000

Martinez hit a career-high 38 home runs last season and is off to another good start this year. He's a good play today, as he has a career .357 average and one homer against Cleveland's starter. Martinez has a decent price for a player who can produce as much as he can.
