BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
OWNED IN: 53% Fleaflicker
ANALYSIS: Phillips was a model of consistency at the second base position until 2014 when his numbers dipped dramatically. His streak of eight straight years hitting 17 or more home runs was snapped as he contributed only eight HR and two SB all season. Last year he proved it to be a fluke by hitting .294 with 12 HR, 70 RBI, 23 SB. So why is he only owned in half of all leagues? Ageism and memories of his supposed decline two seasons ago are stigmatizing Phillips in the mind of many fantasy owners. The Reds may not be contenders, but Phillips is hitting cleanup behind Joey Votto and budding star Eugenio Suarez, which should result in plentiful RBI opportunities. With four hits on Tuesday, he is up to .333 this season. Don't make the mistake of counting out this veteran.
