NBA Daily Fantasy Lineup Picks - FanDuel Basketball Advice for 3/27/16

By Keith Allison [CC-BY-SA-2.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.0)], via Wikimedia Commons

Demetri Raftopoulos highlights the top NBA DFS lineup picks for 3/27/16, as well as a couple of sleepers to keep in mind while building your roster on FanDuel.

Five games on the slate for Sunday, including the Golden State Warriors facing the Philadelphia 76ers. The Warriors are eight wins away from the magical 73 and should have no problem inching closer to that number against the Sixers. There are obvious choices from that game for Daily Fantasy, but who else can break out or hit projection?

A couple of other games should also be high-scoring, like the Dallas Mavericks visiting the Sacramento Kings, and the Indiana Pacers hosting the Houston Rockets. It's always wise to hone in on the games that  have an over/under of over 200. Over 210, even better.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy NBA lineup picks for FanDuel on 3/27/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players, to mid-priced options, and value plays on FanDuel.

FanDuel DFS Point Guards

Darren Collison (vs DAL, $5,500)

Rajon Rondo seems like the obvious choice here, but Collison is a whole lot cheaper and has scored double-digits in eight straight games. He'll need to spread stats, bump up the assists, pull the trigger from behind the arc and continue picking up steals in order to break out; all of which he's proven to be more than capable of this season already. With Deron Williams likely to miss another game, and Sacramento's other guards not as solid as Collison and Rondo, expect the two to find plenty of openings and be on the court at the same time.

Shaun Livingston (vs PHI, $3,900)

As I mentioned before, of course Steph Curry is a solid play against the Philadelphia 76ers. But let's play the hypothetical game, throw some what if's out there, and think about a potential early blowout, where the Golden State Warriors move one game closer to the record 73 wins. If that's the case, enter Shaun Livingston.

In the case of a blowout, Livingston will see a boost in minutes, as he's already been teetering around 20 minutes a night in his last four. Livingston is more than capable of putting the ball in the hoop and spreading just enough stats to hit projection.

FanDuel DFS Shooting Guards

Kobe Bryant (vs WAS, $5,800)

Kobe is coming off a 28 point performance against the Denver Nuggets in his last game. As the future hall-of-famer inches closer to retirement, you can expect him to continue to leave everything out on the court and go out in grand fashion. The Washington Wizards give up a ton of points and haven't guarded the two-spot all too well this season.

Wesley Matthews (at SAC, $4,400)

Matthews has strung together two really solid performances for Daily Fantasy, consisting of six three pointers made in back-to-back games. Matthews is at his best when he attempts a ton of shots from downtown. Luckily for him, Sacramento has allowed 10.2 opponent threes a game, and 28.1 attempts from behind the arc a game, both good for most in the NBA.

FanDuel DFS Small Forwards

Robert Covington (at GS, $6,100)

Covington and the Sixers will likely be playing from behind against the defending champions. Covington has been relatively consistent of late, as he's posted six quality Daily Fantasy performances out of his last 10 games. He is a threat from downtown and will need to unload to keep pace with the abundance of three's attempted and drained by Curry and Klay Thompson. He's also capable of posting multiple steals and blocks, complimenting his ability to flirt with double-digit rebounds.

Michael Beasley (at IND, $4,700)

Beasley has a tough matchup on Sunday, but the Rockets should be plenty competitive against the Indiana Pacers. He has broken out several times for his price in his last 10 and is coming off of a 21 point performance against the Toronto Raptors. Beasley is affordable and has become a solid part of the Rockets offense off the bench, playing over 20 minutes in five of seven games. Beasley is a nice tournament option but might it be wise to fade and spend up for cash games.

FanDuel DFS Power Forwards

Dirk Nowitzki (at SAC, $8,000)

Noticing a trend yet? Stack the Dallas and Sacramento game heavily. Dirk Nowitzki included. He's been on a scoring tear of late, scoring 20 or more points in nine straight games, including three of 30 or more. Dirk has been playing well over 30 minutes a night and is still a double-double threat and three-point threat every time he touches the court. Dirk is a perfect option for both GPP and head-to-head contests, and should find plenty of openings against a team that plays little to no defense.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Marcin Gortat (at LAL, $6,400)

Gortat has posted two straight double-doubles, and four out of his last five. Gortat's price is still extremely low for what he's capable of and will likely stay around where it is until he strings together a bunch of consistency. It's likely that he'll move in that direction against the defensively inept Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers have given up a ton of fantasy points to centers all season and have no real defensive threat to pin up against Gortat. He is another solid, affordable option that should be used in all formats.

DeMarcus Cousins (vs DAL, $10,900)

Now, it's time to spend some money. Cousins never really needs much of a reason to be drafted and has posted a double-double in five straight games, eight out of 10 overall. This game will likely be very high scoring, resulting in plenty of fantasy point opportunities for a bunch of players. Cousins has also posted a block in eight of 10 games, and is one of the top overall options for Sunday's games.
