Points Leagues Rankings (Top 300): 2016 Fantasy Baseball

By SD Dirk on Flickr [CC BY 2.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.0)], via Wikimedia Commons

RotoBaller's points leagues staff rankings for 2016 fantasy baseball. The top 300 MLB players ranked for points leagues, to help with fantasy baseball drafts.

It's almost time folks. Spring training is officially underway, and the MLB season is fast approaching. With that comes the excitement of fantasy baseball drafts, coming in all sorts of shapes and sizes. Today's rankings are focused on points leagues, which will have different scoring settings than many other types of fantasy baseball leagues. Each statistical category is assigned a point value, and then all your player's points are added up (over the course of a scoring period or season).

In most cases, pitchers will hold more value in points leagues (than they would in non-points leagues). Also, classically, hitters with better peripherals (less strikeouts, more walks, etc) will benefit your teams, and can help bring you to the promised land. Two of our lead fantasy baseball columnists, Nick Mariano and Kyle Bishop, have provided their top 300 rankings for points leagues. Feel free to click those links and give these fine gentlemen a follow, or let them know how much you love or hate their rankings.

Also, be sure to also get over to our 2016 fantasy baseball rankings dashboard. It has tons more great rankings, articles, and draft prep columns. In addition to our tiered staff rankings for every position (mixed leagues), we also dig into the top 2016 fantasy prospects, and bring you our dynasty/keeper rankings as well. More staff ranks are coming soon, so bookmark the page and win your drafts.
