Week 16 Lineup Booms? Jeremy Maclin, Martavis Bryant, John Brown

The fantasy football season is coming to an end, and fanatics are stressing about making the right decisions in the finals. Wide receiver is a very important position and various inconsistent players can be the x-factor in a big win. There are three players at the position that are bound for big performances this week and should not be on any bench in Week 16.

The Kansas City Chiefs are on fire with an eight game winning streak and control of their own destiny in the wild card race. Jeremy Maclin has been the best offensive weapon for the Chiefs and has all the makings for a huge game on Sunday. Over the last four weeks, Maclin is averaging 14.7 standard fantasy points per game.

The matchup against the Cleveland Browns should just add to the momentum and make him a true WR1 option this week. Cleveland has given up the fifth most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers and they appear to just want the season to end already after another year of disaster. Maclin is the best offensive star facing a terrible defense in a must win game. You can’t script a better fantasy scenario.

Martavis Bryant is the second best wide receiver on the Pittsburgh Steelers but a top option for fantasy purposes. After a good game with ten catches for 87 yards against the elite Denver Broncos defense last week, Bryant is ready to explode on Sunday against the putrid Baltimore Ravens pass defense. Last week proved the Pittsburgh Steelers passing game won’t be stopped and is the best in the NFL.

The matchup here is going to pay dividends for fantasy finals with the Ravens allowing the most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. Bryant has shown more of an all-around game this year but his main strength is still catching the deep ball. The chances of one or multiple long touchdown scores against this laughable secondary will make Bryant a great fantasy boom.

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver John Brown is the third risky option you should trust in the finals of your fantasy playoffs. Brown looked terrible on Sunday Night Football last week with various drops and that will scare off quite a few owners. Despite ruining chances of a huge game, Brown still finished with 38 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Brown has put up at least 8.8 standard fantasy points in nine of his last ten games. The matchup against the Green Bay Packers should call for more passes than usual in a potential shootout. Brown is a high ceiling/low floor player and this situation is perfect for his value.
