DraftKings DFS - NBA Fantasy Basketball Advice & Value Picks (3/15/2015)

Below are some DraftKings DFS lineup picks for today's NBA action, March 15th, 2015. These players represent potential fantasy basketball sleepers based on their matchups, and can be strong DFS lineup plays based on their DraftKings prices and dollar values.

Keep in mind, DFS fantasy basketball is a fast-paced environment that includes last minute changes, so be sure to check NBA injury reports and your DFS lineups prior to tip-off.

Worth the DraftKings Investment

Kyle Lowry (TOR, PG) - $7,400

Lowry suffered through a dreadful slump in the month of February. Then, he missed several games due to injury. While he was not much help to anyone last month, March has proven to be a different story.

The time off has done wonders for Lowry. He enters Sunday with averages of 22.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 2.8 steals, and a whopping 4.0 threes per game in the month of March. He flirted with a quadruple double in his last game, putting up a massive line of 19 points, eight rebounds, eight assists, seven steals, one block and five treys. This game illustrates his ability to fill the stat sheet when he is right.

The Toronto point guard has been far more aggressive since his return, averaging 17 shot attempts in his last four games. He has been logging huge minutes lately (nearly 40 per game) and has scored more than 50 fantasy points in each of his last two games. The best part is that his price has yet to catch up with his recent level of production. Lowry is showing no signs of slowing down, and now gets a favorable matchup at home against the Trail Blazers. Ride him while he is hot.

Kawhi Leonard (SAS, SF) - $8,500

Leonard has seen his price start to creep up a little bit due to his excellent play of late. He has been a model of consistency lately, scoring 20 or more points in six straight games. Consistency is hard to come by from the small forward position.

It does not hurt either that Leonard draws an excellent matchup against the Timberwolves, who have really struggled to defend small forwards this season. This game does have some blowout potential, but Kawhi is typically the last Spurs starter to get pulled. He has been playing big minutes lately, so he is likely to do some damage in any event. Leonard has the potential to put up similar numbers as LeBron James, but can be had nearly $2,500 cheaper.

Al Horford (ATL, C) - $6,900

Horford has not been himself lately, but this is an excellent spot for him to get back on track. His recent struggles have driven his price down a bit, creating an excellent opportunity to profit. The center position is fairly thin, and Horford easily has the best matchup.

The Lakers have been getting abused by opposing big men all season long, and that will not change on Sunday. The Hawks are a little thin in their frontcourt with Mike Scott unavailable, so Horford could absorb some of his minutes. I am expecting a big game from Big Al as Atlanta continues its quest to wrap up the #1 seed in the Eastern Conference.

DraftKings Sleeper & Value Pick

Brandan Wright (PHX, PF) - $3,600

Sometimes you really have to dig deep for a sleeper, but this pick is a no brainer. Alex Len injured his ankle in the Suns last game, and has already been ruled out for the game on Sunday. His absence opens up a ton of minutes, and Wright will be the primary beneficiary.

The matchup could not be better, as Wright will do battle with the lowly New York Knicks. Wright has always been a guy that puts up impressive numbers in limited minutes, so he could have a massive game with the increased playing time. He is a defensive stalwart, and is very efficient on the offensive side of the ball. Earl Barron may draw the start, but he will likely be a non factor. Wright is the right play, regardless of whether he starts or not.
