Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider drafting in 2026:
Jameson Williams, Detroit Lions
Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams got off to a slow start to the 2025 season, recording just 17 receptions for 289 yards and two touchdowns on 30 targets through the first eight weeks of the year. However, the 25-year-old's production picked up in a big way in the second half, and he finished the year with 65 catches for 1,117 yards and seven touchdowns on 102 targets across 17 games.
The shift in Williams' fortunes largely coincided with a season-ending back injury for Lions tight end Sam LaPorta (back), who missed Detroit's final eight games. LaPorta is expected to be ready for the start of the 2026 season, which could impact Williams' target volume outlook. When the Lions have LaPorta, wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, and running back Jahmyr Gibbs available, the team has traditionally utilized Williams in a downfield role.
While his big-play ability gives him monster upside, Williams is also liable to finish fourth on his team in targets in any given week. Williams profiles as a boom/bust WR2 for fantasy managers heading into 2026.
CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb appeared in 14 games last season but was hampered by injuries throughout parts of the year, resulting in the least productive fantasy campaign of his career. Even so, Lamb eclipsed 1,000 receiving yards for the fifth consecutive season and led Dallas in targets per game. The team's overall leader in total targets, however, was George Pickens, who erupted for more than 1,400 yards and nine touchdowns in his first season with the Cowboys.
Entering 2026, there will undoubtedly be debate over which Dallas receiver should come off the board first in fantasy drafts, but Lamb is still likely to be the preferred option in most formats given his longer track record of success with quarterback Dak Prescott. The last time Lamb and Prescott both played all 17 games, Lamb finished as the fantasy WR1 while recording one of the most prolific receiving seasons in NFL history in 2023.
Prescott has supported multiple top-24 fantasy receivers on several occasions throughout his career, and fantasy managers should feel confident that head coach Brian Schottenheimer will continue to lean on a high-powered passing attack. With his rare combination of high floor and elite ceiling, Lamb should remain a strong target within the first 10 picks of most fantasy drafts.
Rome Odunze, Chicago Bears
After an up-and-down rookie campaign, Chicago Bears wide receiver Rome Odunze came out with a blazing start to the 2025 season, scoring five touchdowns in his first four games and going into the Bears' early bye week as the WR3 in Half-PPR formats. Coming out of the bye, the 2024 ninth overall pick started showing up on the injury report with foot and ankle issues, and while he continued to play through the nagging injuries, his production dropped, and he was eventually shut down for the final five games after being diagnosed with a stress fracture in his foot.
Despite playing in only 12 games, Odunze's 87 targets led a talented group of Chicago pass catchers, and his six receiving touchdowns tied for the team lead. By year's end, five different Chicago players saw at least 60 targets, but with DJ Moore and Olamide Zaccheaus no longer on the team, Ben Johnson's passing offense is expected to funnel through Odunze, Luther Burden III, and Colston Loveland in 2026. With the thinning of the receiver room likely to produce an uptick in targets, and quarterback Caleb Williams expected to take a step forward in his second season with Johnson, Odunze has a chance to produce WR1 numbers from the mid-round range of drafts.
In 2025, only Michael Penix Jr. and J.J. McCarthy had a higher off-target throw percentage than Williams, and no receiver was impacted more than Odunze. Williams completed at least 60% of his passes in only six games, and on the four such occurrences when Odunze was active, the second-year receiver averaged 18.4 fantasy points per game. When the connection is working, Odunze is capable of winning weeks, and at RotoBaller's WR36, that upside can still be had for a bargain in 2026.
Cam Skattebo, New York Giants
New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo (ankle) was a pleasant surprise last season as a fourth-round pick for the Giants and eventually surpassed starter Tyrone Tracy Jr. as the team's starting running back. He produced gaudy stats before suffering a gruesome season-ending dislocated ankle in Week 8 against the Eagles. Skattebo rushed for 410 yards on 101 carries with five touchdowns while catching 24 passes for 207 yards and two scores over eight games.
He was averaging 15.6 touches per game and proved to be a reliable pass catcher by averaging 8.7 yards after the catch. Some of the Giants' offseason moves include bringing in former Ravens head coach John Harbaugh and drafting OL Francis Mauigoa with the 10th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Skattebo is progressing well from his ankle surgery and participated in 11-on-11 drills during OTAs. He is expected to be a full go for training camp and should have the edge on Tracy as the Giants' starting running back.
New York's offense should also be better in quarterback Jaxson Dart's second season as he continues to develop. While Tracy will have a role, the Giants will lean on Skattebo at the goal line, as he owned a terrific 5.0% rushing TD percentage last year. Skattebo is ranked RB20 at RotoBaller and is projected for 1,400 total yards and 11 touchdowns in 2026. Barring a setback, Skattebo is set to be the Giants' workhorse and should produce as an excellent fantasy RB2 if he can stay healthy.
Jordan Addison, Minnesota Vikings
Although Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison was not drafted nearly as early as Justin Jefferson in 2025 fantasy leagues, his managers were similarly impacted by the team's offensive struggles. Addison, who finished as a top-24 fantasy receiver in each of his first two seasons, averaged just over eight fantasy points per game while finishing as the WR44 across 14 contests last year, and scored just one touchdown with J.J. McCarthy at quarterback.
The 24-year-old established himself as a legitimate red-zone threat during his first two NFL campaigns and could emerge as a strong bounce-back candidate with Kyler Murray named the team's Week 1 starter. While the Vikings recently signed veteran receiver Jauan Jennings to a one-year deal, the former 49er is more likely to absorb the 53 targets vacated by Jalen Nailor's departure than threaten Addison's role as WR2.
Fantasy managers should monitor Minnesota's quarterback situation closely this offseason while viewing Addison as a WR3 with significant upside.
