Peyton Niksch Earns the Call to Double-A After Stellar Showing in Lower Levels
Milwaukee Brewers pitching prospect Peyton Niksch is set to join Double-A, according to MiLB Central. The right-hander has turned in an impressive debut campaign in the system and is quickly approaching the top level of their system. The 22-year-old made his professional debut at the start of the 2026 campaign with Low-A and has yet to face any major setbacks. With Low-A, the reliever logged 26 2/3 innings over 14 games and held a 2.70 ERA with two saves. With High-A, the right-hander took an impressive step forward, logging 16 frames to the tune of a 1.13 ERA and a 1.00 WHIP. In this stint, he struck out 15 hitters while walking only three. A 2026 MLB debut is highly unlikely, but Niksch is a name to continue monitoring as he approaches the top levels.
