Grant Taylor Earns Save, New Closer on the South Side?
Chicago White Sox relief pitcher Grant Taylor was tasked with pitching the final frame of Tuesday's game against the Seattle Mariners. Taylor didn't have any issues as he struck out the side to earn his first save of the season. After that outing, Taylor holds a 1.78 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, and a 15:4 K:BB ratio across 19 appearances this season. The White Sox haven't won any games since then, so it's unclear if this was a one-time thing or if Taylor is going to be the closer moving forward. Seranthony Dominguez has blown three saves and holds a 4.82 ERA across 18.2 innings this season. It wouldn't be shocking to see the White Sox give Taylor a chance at the closer role moving forward.
