Kyle Pitts Fantasy Football Injury Update

Pitts enters Thursday night labeled as questionable, but the 25-year-old tight end should be expected to suit up. There hasn't been any word yet from Falcons' beat reporters one way or the other. However, with No. 1 wide receiver Drake London (knee) already ruled out, the Falcons will be relying on Pitts again to lead their passing attack.

The former fourth overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft has not missed a game this season. He was listed on the injury report with an ankle issue back in Week 9, but was eventually cleared. With three limited practices this week, fantasy managers can expect Pitts to play Thursday night, barring something unforeseen.

Kyle Pitts Fantasy Football Injury Impact

Pitts hasn't lived up to the hype of his lofty draft slot, but the Florida product is putting together a nice season in the final year of his rookie deal. He's recorded 62 receptions for 631 yards and one touchdown on 85 targets in 13 games so far.

Tampa Bay hasn't been the easiest matchup for tight ends, ranking middle of the pack in most receiving categories against opposing tight ends. They have been weaker against the pass in general, allowing the sixth-most passing yards per game (237.8) and at least 263 yards in four of the last five games. Pitts has had success against them in recent matchups. He hauled in seven of eight targets for 59 yards back in their Week 1 matchup.

Then, his two best games of the 2024 season both came against Tampa Bay, recording four catches (five targets) for 91 yards and his only career two-touchdown day in their Week 8 game. In Week 5 of last season, on Thursday Night Football, Pitts totaled seven catches for 88 yards on eight targets. With London out again and Kirk Cousins locking in on Pitts as the clear top target, Pitts ranks as RotoBaller's TE4 in Week 15 in PPR leagues.
