Best Week 15 Defense Streamers - Fantasy Football DST Pickups and Starts

Cameron Jordan - Saints Defense D/ST, IDP Rankings, D/ST Waiver Wire Streamers

The top Week 15 defense streamers - fantasy football D/ST pickups, streamers and starts for 2025. Target these fantasy DST streaming options with strong matchups.

The fantasy football playoffs are here, which means our lineup decisions have become even more critical. The wrong choice could be the difference between us playing in Week 16 or seeing our season come to an early end.

In this weekly piece, I will continue to spotlight four widely available defensive units that have high streaming upside.

Who should fantasy managers look to target on the waiver wire and plug into their starting lineup? Let's dive in!

Top Week 15 Defense Streamers (D/ST)

Only defenses rostered in fewer than 65% of fantasy football leagues are considered potential streamers.

San Francisco 49ers vs. TEN
45% Rostered

The 49ers defense is coming off their Week 14 bye and has a smash matchup against Cam Ward and the Titans. While the Titans scored a season-high 31 points last week over a tougher Browns defense, prior to this game, they scored over 20 points in just two total games this season. The previous week, they scored just three points against the Jaguars.

In this game, Ward threw for just 141 yards and was sacked three times. He enters Week 15 averaging 189,9 yards per game with a modest 10:7 TD:INT. Before their bye, the 49ers enjoyed their two best defensive showing of the season, allowing eight points to the Browns in Week 13 and nine points to the Panthers the week before.

They totaled four sacks and two interceptions across these games. With another weak offensive unit lined up on the schedule, managers should trust the 49ers in all formats when they welcome the Titans to Santa Clara.

Chicago Bears vs. CLE
35% Rostered

While the Bears' defense took a bit of a step back last weekend, they are still at the top streamer in the opening week of the fantasy playoffs. The Cleveland Browns offense enters the fantasy playoffs averaging just 17.2 PPG, the fourth-lowest mark in football. In Week 13, the Bears held the Philadelphia offense to just 15 points and forced an interception.

The Bears have been elite when forcing turnovers all season long. Entering Week 15, the Bears sit with the most interceptions in football (18) and are tied for third in fumble recoveries (nine). Facing an inconsistent Cleveland offense, trust the Bears in all standard leagues. Even though the offense appears to be turning the corner with rookie Shedeur Sanders, Chicago's ability to force turnovers provides them with a strong floor and a high ceiling.

New Orleans Saints vs. CAR
15% Rostered

The final two streamers I will spotlight will be facing one another on Sunday afternoon. The Saints are coming off an upset victory over the Buccaneers. In this victory, they held Tampa Bay ot just 20 points and shut down the passing attack, as Baker Mayfield threw for just 122 yards and added an interception. The week prior, they forced four sacks and another interception in their tough loss to the Dolphins.

When they faced the Panthers the first time, back in Week 10, the Saints came out on top, holding the Panthers to just seven points. Bryce Young was unable to generate much offense, throwing for 124 yards with an interception. Given that they have already shut this offense down before, they are viable streamers in 12-team formats.

Carolina Panthers at NO
10% Rostered

On the other side of this game, the Carolina Panthers are also a viable streamer. During their Week 10 mathcup, the Panthers were unable to get the victory, but their defense did the job, holding the Saints to 17 points. They also intercepted Tyler Shough twice and forced two sacks. Before their Week 14 bye, they pulled off an impressive upset over the Rams.

While the Rams still scored 28 points in this game, the defense was opportunistic, forcing two interceptions off MVP favorite Matthew Stafford and adding two sacks. Even though Shough has begun to make strides in his debut season, he has thrown at least one interception in each of his last three games, suggesting that the upside is there for Carolina to turn in a solid showing.

Expect a defensive duel between these two teams.

Compare up to four NFL players at once, and then click the Who To Start? button to see who the recommended starts are based on weekly fantasy football matchups.

Improvements For Who Should I Start? You may have noticed that our Who Should I Start? tool has gotten an overhaul. We've added lots of great features for you to give you as much information as possible to win your fantasy football matchups each week. You'll see NFL player tiles with headshots and bye weeks, stats, projections, strength of schedule, player news, and enhanced search results with data to compare with a slick new interface. How It Works. Each week, our RotoBaller staff puts together their weekly fantasy football rankings and projections based on their research. That information is the core data that is powering the decision-making in this tool. When you search for player names, you will only see those players who are ranked. If someone is out for the week, they will not appear in the search results.

Scoring Formats. Fantasy football managers play in various types of leagues, and this tool allows you to choose whether it's PPR scoring, Half-PPR scoring, or Standard (Non-PPR) scoring. The second thing you want to do is to select the scoring format. There are three small radio buttons (small circles), so click on the scoring format you prefer. The results may vary based on the scoring format you select.
