Is Garrett Wilson Out for the 2025 Season?
New York Jets head coach Aaron Glenn said that he expects Wilson to play again this season, but the head coach also added that it is ultimately up to the doctor, Antwan V. Staley of the New York Daily News reported back on November 14. Wilson originally hyperextended his knee during Week 6's game against the Denver Broncos, which forced him to miss three games.

The 25-year-old wideout then re-aggravated the injury in Week 10 against the Cleveland Browns and was placed on Injured Reserve following the game. He is eligible to return from Injured Reserve in Week 15 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, but there is uncertainty that he will be ready by that time.
Garrett Wilson 2025 Fantasy Football Outlook
Wilson was having a strong season before getting injured despite a poor offensive environment, recording 36 receptions for 395 yards and four touchdowns on 56 targets in six games. The star wideout ranked as the WR7 in total PPR points during that time. With Tyrod Taylor taking over as the starting quarterback and playing decently well, Wilson would slot back in as a borderline WR1 when he returns.

There haven't been any new updates on when Wilson will be able to return despite being eligible to be activated in Week 15. Adonai Mitchell and John Metchie III have filled in as the team's top two targets in Wilson's absence, with Mitchell profiling as the better option moving forward.
Wilson and Mitchell would form a dynamic wide receiver duo for the Jets when he is eventually able to return. However, the outlook for Wilson remains murky, and fantasy managers who have been stashing Wilson will need an update from the team eventually to justify holding him with the fantasy playoffs coming up.
