Week 7 Wide Receiver Rankings Outlooks
Jordan Addison, Minnesota Vikings
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison is a solid WR3/Flex candidate as the Vikings are set to play host to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 7. The Vikings will start quarterback Carson Wentz with J.J. McCarthy (ankle) officially listed as questionable and likely to be the team's emergency third quarterback, though Addison performed well in his lone opportunity with Wentz, connecting for a game-winning touchdown against Cleveland.
Further, Philly hasn't impressed on defense so far this year. The Eagles are struggling to disrupt quarterbacks, ranking 27th in pressure rate, and also ranking near the bottom of the league in defensive average depth of target. As always, Addison is going to be in the shadow of Justin Jefferson, but the former USC standout has shown regular home run potential. With a good matchup on Sunday, he's an option in most formats.
Ladd McConkey, Los Angeles Chargers
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey is riding a wave of momentum after a remarkable seven-catch, 100-yard, one-touchdown game against the Miami Dolphins. It was his second straight week finding the end zone. McConkey currently commands a 20% red zone target share and a 21.8% first read target share, while running the third-most routes in the league (225).
Facing a banged-up Indianapolis Colts secondary, McConkey gets a favorable slot matchup, as Indianapolis allows the ninth-most points per game to slot receivers. Even with the likely return of Quentin Johnston (hamstring), McConkey's established role and increased red-zone usage keep him highly valuable. RotoBaller ranks McConkey as WR17, making him a mid-range WR2 who should be started in all formats in this potential offensive slugfest.
Kendrick Bourne, San Francisco 49ers
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne has shone as of late. Although the wideout still hasn't scored a touchdown, he's certainly made up for it by combining for 15 catches (20 targets) for 284 yards in his last two appearances. With Brock Purdy (toe) still out, Mac Jones should continue to look in his direction in Week 7 versus a potent Falcons defense.
While George Kittle (hamstring) will make his return after getting injured in the Week 1 win over the Seattle Seahawks, Bourne could continue to get more attention than Jauan Jennings (ankle, rib, shoulder), who had only one catch in the recent loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With that in mind, Bourne has done enough to earn a spot in any fantasy lineup despite a challenging matchup on tap.
