Braelon Allen Injures Knee on Monday Night, Quickly Ruled Out
Braelon Allen (knee) suffered a knee injury in the first half of the Monday night game against the division-rival Miami Dolphins and has already been ruled out, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. Allen's knee took a pretty nasty shot in the second quarter on a kickoff return. The 21-year-old was able to walk to the locker room under his own power, but he was quickly ruled out. Before the injury, he carried the ball four times for 26 yards. With Allen out the rest of the way to close out Week 4 action, Isaiah Davis will see more work in New York's backfield as a change-of-pace option behind Breece Hall. Allen came into Monday night's action with 14 rushing attempts for 50 yards (3.6 yards per game) and one rushing touchdown in three games in a struggling Jets offense. He's merely been a handcuff for Hall's owners, but it's possible he won't be able to play in Week 5 against the Dallas Cowboys.
