An MRI exam on Monday confirmed that Los Angeles Chargers offensive tackle Joe Alt (ankle) suffered a high-ankle sprain in Sunday's Week 4 loss to the New York Giants, sources told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Alt will seek multiple opinions on his injury, but he's expected to be out for several weeks. The 22-year-old was carted off on Sunday, but initial X-rays came back negative. Alt had moved from right tackle to left tackle after Rashawn Slater's season-ending knee injury. The loss of Alt, even though it's only for several weeks, is a big deal, as the Chargers will be down to third-stringer Austin Deculus protecting quarterback Justin Herbert's blind side. Fantasy managers should still consider Herbert a must-start QB1 in a plus Week 5 matchup against the Washington Commanders, but his protection on the left side will be worth watching.--Keith Hernandez
