Parker Meadows Begins Rehab Assignment
Parker Meadows (quadriceps) began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Toledo on Wednesday. He played the first five innings of the game and went 2-for-3 with a triple and a single. The 25-year-old has been on the 10-day injured list with a strained right quadriceps for a month, but he could return to the majors in short order if he doesn't encounter any setbacks in the minors. Thanks in part to multiple injuries, Meadows hasn't contributed much in the bigs this season. A nerve issue in Meadows' right arm prevented him from making his 2025 debut until June 2, and he could only muster a .200/.270/.296 line with two homers, nine RBI, 15 runs, and three steals over 38 games and 137 plate appearances before he had to go back on the IL. Meadows is expected to receive regular playing time in center field when he rejoins the Tigers.
