Baltimore Orioles outfielder Tyler O'Neill (wrist) started baseball activities, including throwing, on Monday and was almost pain-free, per MASN's Roch Kubatko. O'Neill was placed on the 10-day injured list retroactive to August 6 with right wrist inflammation. The 30-year-old said he wasn't sure if he would be ready to return on his September 1 date or if he would need a rehab assignment. As throughout his career, O'Neill has made three trips to the IL this season, each for a different injury. Perhaps it has been the numerous injuries, but O'Neill hasn't gotten things going offensively this season, slashing .210/.293/.434 with eight home runs, 23 RBI, and two stolen bases in 164 plate appearances.--Connelly Doan
