Kyle Freeland Exits Monday's Start Early Due To Blister
Kyle Freeland (finger) exited Monday's 4-3 win over the Dodgers with a blister on his pitching hand, per MLB's Manny Randhawa. Freeland made it through four innings, allowing two runs on six hits and a walk with five strikeouts. He came out to warm up for the fifth inning but was ultimately relieved by Jaden Hill. Fantasy managers should look for more news in the coming days, but blisters have proven pesky for numerous pitchers over the last several seasons. Freeland has provided valuable innings for the Rockies this season but has offered limited fantasy production, going 3-12 with a 5.16 ERA, a 1.50 WHIP, and a 6.36 K/9 in 23 starts and 120 1/3 innings. His next scheduled start would be a favorable matchup at the Pirates if he were able to take the mound.
