Arizona Diamondbacks infield prospect Tommy Troy has been promoted to Triple-A Reno after a strong showing at Double-A Amarillo. The D-backs' fifth-ranked prospect slashed .286/.382/.461 with 12 home runs and 21 steals over 87 games for the Sod Poodles. The 23-year-old displayed improved contact skills this season, striking out at just a 17.5 percent rate compared to a 22.2 percent rate at High-A in 2024, and continued to walk at a strong clip, drawing free passes at a 12.3 percent rate. With solid all-around hit, power, and run tools, the former first-rounder has an intriguing offensive profile for fantasy, especially at second base, and could be ready to contribute for the big league club next year, so it's worth keeping an eye on his performance from here on out.--Jarod Rupp
