Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Tony Gonsolin (elbow) is on the 60-day injured list with right elbow soreness. Although his MRI showed that his UCL was intact, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Gonsolin was still not throwing, and the Dodgers would have to decide on his status "soon." The right-hander had Tommy John surgery in September 2023, and he experienced right elbow discomfort following his start this year on June 5. Gonsolin has only pitched 36 innings this year and was ineffective, posting a 5.00 ERA with a 1.42 WHIP and a 4.50 BB:9. Pitch control is usually the last pitching aspect pitchers get back after Tommy John surgery. The way his status is being discussed, Gonsolin's return this year is in doubt.--Dr. Reuven Guy
