It may be fair to say that the New York Jets have one of the worst wide receiver rooms in the NFL this season. It's led by 2022 Offensive Rookie of the Year Garrett Wilson. He's great, but the rest of the depth chart is littered with question marks. So much so that journeyman Josh Reynolds is reportedly the favorite to win the job opposite Wilson. He's competing with the likes of Allen Lazard, fourth-round rookie Arian Smith, and second-year professional Malachi Corley. Reynolds has been on four teams since 2022, culminating in 13 receptions across nine games with Denver and Jacksonville last season. The veteran had spot moments throughout his time in Los Angeles and Detroit, but it was never enough to warrant a full-time roster spot in fantasy football. That's likely to be the case again with the Jets. The biggest concern with Wilson is whether or not quarterback Justin Fields can throw well enough to support a WR1. The odds that Fields can prop up a second receiver are almost zero, especially one like Reynolds, who doesn't do anything great. The 30-year-old doesn't need to be drafted in regular-sized redraft leagues, despite the presumed starting role.--Andrew Ball
