MLB DFS Picks Today: Daily Fantasy Baseball Strategy and Tips For FanDuel, DraftKings (5/30/25)

Matthew Liberatore - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

Dan's top DraftKings and FanDuel MLB DFS picks for today, Friday, 5/30/25. His favorite daily fantasy baseball lineup sleepers and value picks for DFS on DraftKings and FanDuel.

Tonight's main slate looks to be relatively rain-free, with only the White Sox-Orioles matchup at Camden Yards being the one spot we need to monitor. There's some light rain expected in Cleveland that could bring a delay, but the rest of the 13-game slate looks dry.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 5/30/2025. I'll focus my picks on the main slate starting at 7:05 p.m. EDT on both sites. The lineup picks will showcase elite players, mid-priced options, and value plays.

You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is always essential.

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

It's a loaded pitching slate, so there are certainly more than just these five arms as viable options, but here are some of my favorites.

David Peterson - NYM vs. COL ($9K DK; $9.9K FD)

I don't think we have to target the Rockies every time out with every pitcher, but David Peterson is a pretty good lefty with an elite groundball rate (57.6%) and a little bit of K upside, too. Colorado, especially outside of Coors, has been pathetic on offense. They rank 29th in wRC+ against LHP over the last three weeks, showing little power (.120 ISO) while striking out 26% of the time.

It's more than we are used to paying for Peterson, but the Rockies' price hike may be worth paying.

Matthew Liberatore - STL at TEX ($8.7K DK; $9.2K FD)

The only team worse against lefties than the Rockies is Texas, as their wRC+ of 51 and their 33% K% both rank dead last. Enter Matthew Liberatore, who is enjoying a breakout season and pitching to a 2.78 ERA and 3.48 SIERA.

Liberatore has been in fantastic form lately, going six or more innings while allowing two earned runs or fewer in six of his last eight starts. The big lefty has been dialed in, giving the Cardinals some quality innings while flashing an elite walk rate (3.4%) and WHIP (1.01).

He's my top play on the board today. He brings a solid floor and a pretty nice ceiling if he gets his fair share of strikeouts, in addition to the elite run prevention and innings-eating.

Kyle Harrison - SFG at MIA ($7.1K DK; $6.8K FD)

If you want to punt the position or pay down at SP2 on DK, then I think Harrison is worth consideration. We are working with a small sample size in terms of innings pitched this season, but Harrison has flashed some nice strikeout potential with a 29% K% and 15.7% SwStr%.

Miami has been toward the middle of the pack against lefties lately. They don't strike out a ton, but they also have little power from the right side of the plate, other than standout rookie catcher Agustin Ramirez.

Also Consider: Bryan Woo - SEA vs. MIN ($9.5K DK; $10.6K FD), Luis L. Ortiz - CLE vs. LAA ($6K DK; $8.3K FD)

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Gavin Sheets, 1B (FD), OF - SDP vs. Mitch Keller ($3.9K DK; $3.2K FD)

Sheets is making some noise this season and is finally earning an opportunity to play daily. His power has been a welcome addition to an already potent Padres lineup as he's now up to 11 home runs on the season.

I like Mitch Keller as much as the next guy, but he's struggled with lefty power in the past, and I love the price we are getting on Sheets here. He's in great form and on the right side of his splits. The added first base eligibility on FanDuel is a bonus, too.

Brendan Donovan, SS/3B (FD), 2B/OF - TEX vs. Jack Leiter ($4.8K DK; $3.1K FD)

Donovan is enjoying a breakout of his own in St. Louis. He's been a lynchpin of this lineup, hitting .335 and driving in 31 runs in the first two months of the season.

DraftKings is finally starting to price him up, but FanDuel routinely prices him around 3K, which is a great value, especially when you consider he's eligible at four different positions there. Jack Leiter is having his struggles this season, and I'll happily attack him with some Cardinals hitters today, the lefties look good specifically.

Bo Bichette, SS - TOR vs. Jeffrey Springs ($4.1K DK; $3K FD)

I'm not sure what Bichette did to the people who price these slates, but they are constantly slow to adjust his price. The Toronto leadoff man has slugged two home runs in his last two games and faces a very hittable lefty tonight in Jeffrey Springs of the Tampa Bay Rays.

Toronto's offense can run hot and cold, but right now, it is heating up, and Bichette is too cheap for a guy hitting at the top of the order in front of quality sluggers like Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and George Springer.

Also Consider: Oneil Cruz - SS (FD), OF ($5.9K DK; $3.9K FD), Isaac Paredes - 3B ($4.7K DK; $3.4K FD), Agustin Ramirez - C ($4.3K DK; $3.3K FD)

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Marcell Ozuna, OF - ATL vs. Lucas Giolito ($4.2K DK; $3.2K FD)

Giolito is off to a rough start on his comeback trail, allowing 16 earned runs in his first 27 innings this season. He's been bad against hitters from both sides of the plate, but righties are hitting .314 and have a .359 wOBA against him.

Ozuna is too cheap for his power. He cooled off this week after getting red-hot last week, but he could be ready to go on another tear starting tonight. The wind is blowing out to the left, which favors Ozuna in this plus matchup against a fly-ball pitcher like Giolito, who has always struggled with the long ball.

Wilyer Abreu, OF - BOS vs. Grant Holmes ($4.3K DK; $3.3K FD)

Abreu may be one of the most underrated hitters in baseball. If he ever starts hitting lefties, watch out. In the meantime, we can still roll him out there against righties as he possesses an elite .270 ISO. He has smacked all 13 of his long balls off righties this season and has a positive park factor in his favor here, as Atlanta's home park was built to cater to Freddie Freeman's power back in the day.

Abreu has moved down in the lineup lately, but he's still a great play here either as a one-off or in a Boston stack. His power is undeniable, and Grant Holmes is not a pitcher we have to avoid at all.

James Wood, OF - WAS vs. Merrill Kelly ($5.8K DK; $4.2K FD)

Wood has been dialed in at the plate lately, smacking three home runs over his last five games and driving in eight runs over that stretch. He's still an unfinished product, but his raw talent has been on display all season as he's slugged his way to 15 home runs and 42 RBI in the first third of the year.

Merrill Kelly has been better of late, but right now I might deploy Wood against just about any right-handed starter with the roll that he's on. He can hurt you with the long ball to all fields, and he's been active on the basepaths, too. He just might be the top play on the board tonight.

Also Consider: George Springer - OF ($4.3K DK; $3.1K FD), Corbin Carroll - OF ($6.0K DK; $4.1K FD), Jose Caballero - 2B/3B (FD), SS/OF ($4.0K DK; $2.7K FD)

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

New York Yankees (4.8 implied run total) vs. Tony Gonsolin (LAD)

The Yankees' bats were pretty quiet against the Angels, but I think they bounce back tonight against Gonsolin, who is arguably the worst Dodgers starter. Dodgers' stadium is a good park for hitters, and the Yankees should be somewhat contrarian tonight compared to their usual rostership.

Atlanta Braves (5.4 implied run total) vs. Lucas Giolito (BOS)

The Braves have their swagger back with Acuna Jr. in the lineup and are facing Giolito, who has struggled since rejoining the Red Sox rotation after missing an entire season with an arm injury.

SNEAKY STACK: Boston Red Sox (4.3 implied run total) vs. Grant Holmes (ATL)

Holmes has pitched well at times, but he still allows his share of hard contact and has a 12% barrel rate that is among the highest on the slate. We know Boston can punish pitchers, especially righties, so I like both sides of that game.
