Timothy Liljegren Sustains Upper-Body Injury
San Jose Sharks defenseman Timothy Liljegren (upper body) was hurt in Saturday's matchup against the Colorado Avalanche, leaving him doubtful for Sunday's meeting with the Detroit Red Wings. The Swedish rearguard left the game with an upper-body injury after he was hit with a puck while on the bench. Health issues have limited Liljegren to nine games this season, during which he has recorded three assists, eight shots, 18 blocks, and 10 hits. Although Liljegren's injury does not appear to be serious, Vincent Iorio, who has been a healthy scratch for the past three games, may get an opportunity to play in his place on Sunday.
