Kyren Paris Optioned to Triple-A
Kyren Paris to Triple-A Salt Lake to make room on the active roster for recently signed infielder/outfielder Chris Taylor. Paris got out to a blistering start for the Angels in 2025 at the plate, but he's cooled off noticeably since the middle of April and is currently slashing a lowly .190/.266/.381 with a .647 OPS, six home runs, 11 RBI, 20 runs scored and seven stolen bases. The 23-year-old former second-rounder in 2019 will surely be back up in the big leagues at some point this year, but for now, the Angels are going to give the recently signed Taylor some run as a super-utility man. Paris has walked 10 times and struck out 59 times in his 140 trips to the plate in his third season in the big leagues, so he will go down on the farm to work on making more contact.
