White Sox Acquire Evan McKendry From Brewers
Evan McKendry from the Milwaukee Brewers on Monday in exchange for cash considerations, according to MLB.com's Adam McCalvy. McKendry, who is 27 years old, will serve as organizational relief depth for the White Sox for the time being. He was originally a ninth-round pick by the Rays in 2019 out of the University of Miami. McKendry had allowed five earned runs on 10 hits while walking one and striking out four in seven innings over four outings (one start) at Triple-A Nashville before the trade. In his six minor-league seasons, McKendry has gone 24-22 with a 4.10 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, 405 strikeouts and 109 walks in 436 2/3 innings pitched over 111 appearances (72 starts).
