Clyde Edwards-Helaire is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option for running backs. Target him as a free agent add off waivers for Week 18 of the 2024 NFL season.

ANALYSIS: New Orleans Saints Clyde Edwards-Helaire recently joined the team after spending his entire career with the Kansas City Chiefs. Furthermore, he made his team and season debut in the week 17 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders.
The veteran running back had five rushing attempts for 20 yards and two receptions for 10 receiving yards, ending the game with four half-point PPR fantasy points. More importantly, he could have a featured role in the season finale on Sunday.
Unfortunately, the Saints will likely be without Alvin Kamara after he has missed the past two games with a groin injury. The superstar has no reason to play in a meaningless Week 18 game. Meanwhile, Kendre Miller could miss Sunday’s matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a concussion.
Alvin Kamara (groin), Derek Carr (left hand) listed out for Week 17.

However, Edwards-Helaire is a desperation flex option in deeper leagues despite potentially being New Orleans’ starting running back. He faces a Buccaneers defense that gave up only 3.1 fantasy points to the Carolina Panthers last week.
