Joe Burrow and Lamar Jackson lit the world on fire on Thursday Night Football to send fantasy managers into a love/hate frenzy heading into the weekend. Unfortunately, the weekend did not deliver the same level of goodness that fantasy managers were hoping for.

There were several duds from players fantasy managers have come to expect to deliver excellent value. Notably, Saquon Barkley and CeeDee Lamb managers are hurting this week.

Never fear as Week 11 is here. We get to jump right back into the pain and torture that is fantasy football. As such it is time to dive back into the matchups we love and hate heading into this week. The fantasy playoff push is on. Read on to see who could help make or break your season.

Fantasy Football Quarterback Matchups We Love

Tua Tagovailoa - Miami Dolphins
Opponent: LAV
Opponent Rank vs. QB: 25th

Tagovailoa is in a nice position to succeed in Week 11. The Dolphins will host the Raiders who have been one of the worst teams in the league against the pass.

Tagovailoa has a great chance to help the Dolphins jump out to a big lead and coast from there on out.

Miami isn’t your normal 3-6 team. With Tua Tagovailoa back they have better energy and confidence on both sides of the ball. They aren’t out of the playoff hunt and it’s gonna be a wild last half of the season.

Justin Herbert - Los Angeles Chargers
Opponent: CIN
Opponent Rank vs. QB: 28th

Herbert makes his debut on this list in 2024 as the Chargers will host the Bengals on Sunday Night Football. The Bengals defense has simply been shredded all season by opposing passing games. This team would be in much better shape if their defense could hold up.

Herbert has quietly been pretty good of late. Ever since the Chargers’ Week 5 bye, the team has let Herbert cut the ball loose. Until Week 10, Herbert had four straight games with at least 200 passing yards and he continues to find the end zone at a decent rate. It is time we viewed Herbert as a legitimate option.

Fantasy Football Quarterback Matchup to Temper Expectations

Jordan Love - Green Bay Packers
Opponent: at CHI
Opponent Rank vs. QB: 1st

Hopefully Love is coming out of Green Bay’s bye healthy because he was clearly struggling prior to the break. Love is also drawing a tough matchup in Week 11 when the Bears travel to Chicago to take on the excellent Bears.

Love has also thrown interceptions at a high rate in 2024. The Bears have been one of the best defenses at forcing interceptions this season. As such, Love may produce something closer to QB2 numbers in Week 11.

Fantasy Football Running Back Matchups We Love

Joe Mixon - Houston Texans
Opponent: at DAL
Opponent Rank vs. RB: 28th

Mixon is a smash start against the comedy of errors that is the Dallas Cowboys. At this point everyone with a pulse knows that the Cowboys’ run defense has been complete Swiss cheese in 2024.

Mixon has found the fountain of youth in 2024 and has been relatively unstoppable. The Texans are still finding themselves as a passing offense so get ready for them to hand it off to Mixon 25 times and run right through the Cowboys in Week 11.

Kyren Williams - Los Angeles Rams
Opponent: at NE

Similarly to Mixon, Williams will draw an excellent matchup against the new England Patriots in Week 11. Williams has of course been in everyone’s lineup on a weekly basis, but he has an especially good chance to succeed this week.

The Patriots allow 22.7 points per game to opposing running backs in fantasy. Additionally, they have allowed ten rushing touchdowns. Williams’ specialty is scoring touchdowns so this should be a big game from the third-year pro.

Fantasy Football Running Back Matchups to Temper Expectations

Chase Brown - Cincinnati Bengals
Opponent: at LAC
Opponent Rank vs. RB: 3rd

Chase Brown has been on a complete heater in recent weeks. He has scored a touchdown in three straight games and he has scored at least 22.4 fantasy points in two straight games.

The Chargers have been a complete lockdown defense against running backs in 2024. This team has slowed down games all season and limited the overall output of opposing offenses. Brown may fall back to earth in Week 11 especially with the addition of Khalil Herbert.

Fantasy Football Wide Receiver Matchups We Love

George Pickens - Pittsburgh Steelers
Opponent: BAL
Opponent Rank vs. WR: 32nd

Pickens has come alive with Russell Wilson in 2024. Wilson has clearly been looking for Pickens on a week-to-week basis and they will face the porous pass defense of the Baltimore Ravens in Week 11.

Pickens has an excellent chance to score in this divisional matchup. The Ravens’ offense cannot be stopped in 2024 and the Steelers will surely need to score to keep up. Pickens could have a WR1 week in Week 11.

Ricky Pearsall - San Francisco 49ers
Opponent: SEA
Opponent Rank vs. WR: 25th

Pearsall had a big play in Week 10 that padded his final stat-line. However, he was on the field constantly. He is clearly an every-down player for the 49ers and this is an excellent matchup. Additionally, he has the trust of quarterback Brock Purdy.

The Seahawks have allowed the eighth most points to opposing wide receivers in fantasy in 2024. The defense has simply gotten worse as the season has gone on. Pearsall should find success once again in Week 11.

Fantasy Football Wide Receiver Matchups to Temper Expectations

Drake London - Atlanta Falcons
Opponent: at DEN
Opponent Rank vs. WR: 4th

The Patrick Surtain II shadow is likely to strike again as the Falcons will draw the Broncos in Week 11. After heating up earlier in the season, London has faltered of late. This does not feel like a position for a get-right game.

London can be treated as a low-end WR2 in Week 11. The Falcons are likely going to need to lean on other playmakers in this one.

Fantasy Football Tight End Matchups We Love

Travis Kelce - Kansas City Chiefs
Opponent: at BUF
Opponent Rank vs. TE: 12th

Kelce is in prime position to deliver big numbers in Week 11. In the annual clash between the Chiefs and the Bills, plenty of points should go on the board. I expect the Bills’ solid secondary to quiet the Chiefs’ wide receivers so Kelce will be more than necessary.

Since wide receiver Rashee Rice went down due to injury, Kelce has gone right back to his role as Patrick Mahomes’ No. 1 target. He should continue that trend in Week 11.

Fantasy Football Tight End Matchups to Temper Expectations

Jake Ferguson - Dallas Cowboys
Opponent: HOU
Opponent Rank vs. TE: 1st

Ferguson's fantasy stock already took a hit when the Cowboys lost quarterback Dak Prescott to injury. Backup quarterback Cooper Rush could not do anything to support the Cowboys' pass catchers. That is unlikely to change in Week 11.

The Cowboys draw the No. 1 defense against tight ends in fantasy in their intra-state battle with the Houston Texans in Week 11. Ferguson had been a solid starter all season but now he should be relegated to fantasy benches until the Cowboys can prove that they are competent on offense without Prescott.
