It has become somewhat of a running joke among my friends. When they ask me about the goalie I like or plan to use, it’s often to avoid using that same goalie themselves. For example, last night I went with Hellebuyck but decided to switch to Shesterkin instead— and, of course, we all know how that turned out.

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NHL DFS Picks
Tommy Novak - DK $3.0K || FD $4.6K
Opponent - Chicago Blackhawks
The Blackhawks have shown improvement over last year, but they are still a young team learning how to play, particularly on defense. This is evident in the 12 goals they have allowed in three home games. On a positive note, the Hawks have a strong shutdown line centered by Jason Dickinson. He will be matched up against the Predators' top line throughout the game, which is advantageous because it allows Novak's line to face the Hawks' top six.
Through six games, Novak's line has generated 3.34 expected goals per 60 minutes (XGF/60), 39.56 scoring chances per 60 minutes (SCF/60), and 10 high-danger chances per 60 minutes (HDCF/60). This suggests they will have plenty of opportunities, making Novak an appealing choice at only $3,000.

Pavel Dorofeyev - DK $3.3K || FD $5.0K
Opponent - Ottawa Senators
Today is Nevada Day, a celebration of the founding of the state of Nevada on October 31, 1864. (Thanks, Doug!) I mention this because today’s game between Ottawa and Vegas will start at 3 PM local time, giving us a rare Friday afternoon hockey game. I'm not sure if this will work to Vegas's advantage, but I’m certain there will be a lot of kids in the building enjoying the game.
Mr. Dorofeyev thrives at home. In his last two home games, he has scored two goals, recorded one assist, and taken nine shots on goal. He appears to be a mispriced option on DraftKings today, especially considering the last game in which he and Hertl combined for three goals, three assists, and nine shots.

Noah Dobson - DK $6.2K || FD $6.6K
Opponent - New Jersey Devils
Noah Dobson is an immensely talented young defenseman in the NHL, yet he often goes under the radar in discussions about top players in the league. Over his last three games, he has been active offensively, generating 13 shots on goal. Tonight, he faces the New Jersey Devils, who statistically struggle when it comes to defending against defensemen. They currently rank as the fourth-worst team in the NHL for shots allowed to defensemen and the seventh-worst for goals allowed overall.
Given these favorable matchups, I believe tonight will be significant for Dobson. I predict that he will score his first goal of the season against the Devils. Additionally, he has a strong chance of hitting the shot bonus on DraftKings, which adds even more potential value to his performance in this matchup.t bonus.
