MLB DFS: DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (9/24/24) - Today's Top Lineups

Shohei Ohtani - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

Free daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for today's slate on DraftKings, FanDuel. Use Euan's MLB DFS expert picks to build winning DFS lineups on September 24, 2024.

Happy Tuesday, RotoBallers! We are into the final week of the regular season, and there's still a lot to play for heading into the postseason. Teams that have clinched their division may give their stars more rest than usual, so check those lineups close to lock.

The 10-game slate starts on the East Coast as New York looks to lock up the AL East against Baltimore. Very intense battles for the AL and NL Wild Card spots also take place. Tuesday's schedule will produce plenty of fireworks.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 9/24/2024 and the slate locking at 7:05 p.m. EDT. The lineup picks will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is also essential.

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Nathan Eovaldi - RHP, TEX at Athletics ($8.7K DraftKings; $9.2K FanDuel)

When you look under the hood, it appears Nathan Eovaldi had bad luck in the second half of the year. A 5.46 ERA is rather ugly, but a 3.41 xFIP and 3.58 SIERA show it shouldn't be that bad. The Rangers righty also has a manageable 18.8 percent K-BB rate in the second half.

A matchup with Oakland should see the 34-year-old thrive in (likely) his final start of the year. Over the last month, Oakland has the sixth-highest strikeout rate (25.9 percent) to right-handed hurlers and the eighth-worst OPS (.691) over the 2024 campaign.

Bowden Francis - RHP, TOR vs. Red Sox ($8.3K DK; $9.0K FD)

Since cracking the Blue Jays rotation, Bowden Francis has done nothing but impress in the big leagues. Since the All-Star break, the 28-year-old sports a 1.96 ERA, 0.57 WHIP, and a 25.1 percent strikeout rate. Francis has at least six strikeouts in six of his previous eight starts.

That'll work well against a Red Sox squad that's struggling versus RHPs. Since August 25, Boston has the second-highest strikeout rate (27.3 percent) and second-lowest OPS (.627) and wOBA (.275) against righties.

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Triston Casas - 1B, BOS at Bowden Francis ($4.2K DK; $3.1K FD)

It's been a strong couple of weeks for Triston Casas as he looks to end his breakout year on a high note. Since Sept. 10, the first baseman owns a .901 OPS with seven runs, 10 RBI, and six extra-base hits. He's also averaging 11.97 FD PPG over the last 10, which is the ninth-most at the position.

Otto Lopez - 2B/3B/SS/OF, MIA at Bailey Ober ($3.1K DK; $2.7K FD)

DFS managers can play Otto Lopez almost anywhere in their lineup on FD, but only at second base on DK. The Marlins infielder is swinging to the tune of a .892 OPS over the last month. Over the last 10 games, he's scored the second-most FD PPG (12.1) at second base and shortstop.

Nolan Arenado - 3B, STL at Ryan Feltner ($4.9K DK; $3.3K FD)

It's the last week of the season, so let's buy into a revenge-series narrative with Nolan Arenado returning to Coors Field. The third baseman is having a miserable offensive season (.718 OPS) but is trying to salvage it with a solid September.

Over the last seven days, the multi-Platinum Glove winning player has a .350/.440/.400 slash line with three runs, three RBI, and a double. The power has left Arenado's bat, but maybe returning to where he made his mark in MLB will produce some late-season magic.

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Shohei Ohtani - 1B/OF, LAD vs. Michael King ($7.5K DK; $5.2K FD)

I've written these DFS articles for five years at Rotoballer, and I can never remember a player being $7.5K on DraftKings. That's usually the price of a pretty good SP2 option. Regardless, Shohei Ohtani deserves that price tag, considering the season he's had and the recent form he's shown.

Over the last month, the runaway NL MVP rocks a 1.138 OPS with 29 runs, 29 RBI, 18 extra-base hits (12 home runs), and 15 home runs. The All-Star is also 5-for-12 against Michael King with three home runs and four RBI.

Colton Cowser - OF, BAL at Clarke Schmidt ($4.4K DK; $3.1K FD)

The Orioles have suffered their fair share of injuries lately, but Colton Cowser continues to produce. Over the last week, the Baltimore outfielder has produced a .300/.364/.650 slash line with four runs, two RBI, and three extra-base hits, averaging 8.3 DK PPG.

Manuel Margot - OF, MIN vs. Ryan Weathers ($2.3K DK; $2.5K FD)

It won't be pretty, but it'll be effective. Rostering Manuel Margot in your lineup gives you the salary savings you'll need to roster Shohei Ohtani or Aaron Judge. The Twins outfielder hits leadoff against left-handed hurlers and will resume that role against Ryan Weathers.

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

1. St. Louis Cardinals at Ryan Feltner - RHP, COL

Favorite Plays: Nolan Arenado, Brendan Donovan, Jordan Walker

2. Minnesota Twins vs. Ryan Weathers - LHP, MIA

Favorite Plays: Willi Castro, Manuel Margot, Carlos Correa

3.  Los Angeles Angels at Jonathan Cannon - RHP, CWS

Favorite Plays: Zach Neto, Nolan Schanuel, Eric Wagaman
