Coby Mayo is a fantasy baseball waiver wire stash for Week 13 (2024). Target Coby Mayo as a top prospect free-agent waiver wire pickup for fantasy baseball.
BALLER MOVE: Stash in Deeper Leagues
CALL-UP ETA: July
ANALYSIS: The Orioles have an embarrassment of riches when it comes to Triple-A talent, and Coby Mayo is just one of several young sluggers who is anxious to show what he can do against major league pitching.
Mayo suffered a roadblock to his major league debut back on May 16 when he fractured a rib while crashing into the dugout fielding a ball.
He was playing really well before the injury, smashing 13 home runs and driving in 37 while hitting .291.
The Orioles have almost too much depth with position players right now and it has led to some youngsters like Heston Kjerstad not getting much playing time after being called up. But third base is a position where they could use an upgrade over Ramon Urias or Jorge Mateo.
With Coby Mayo returning last night it’s a great time to talk about his UNREAL Potential. @DavidHallVP has seen a lot of baseball up close over the years and I think #Birdland will enjoy his comparisons. pic.twitter.com/40yWrKIRTb

Mayo just started live game action yesterday and could be back in the lineup for Norfolk soon enough. And if he looks good at Triple-A, then Baltimore has to entertain promoting him sometime this Summer.
Mayo is only 8% rostered on Yahoo, so managers in shallower formats have plenty of time to snag him, but deep-league managers should probably grab him soon as he possesses a high ceiling and a potential path to playing time once he's healthy and in the big leagues.

Brady House - Fantasy Baseball Prospects Waiver Wire Stashes (Week 12)
BALLER MOVE: Add in 12-team leagues CALL-UP ETA: June ANALYSIS: The Nationals went viral on social media this week for making a fun call-up. They called up their bat dog from Triple-A. While this was very cute and should improve the vibes a little bit in Washington, I don't think Bruce the Bat Dog will help […]

Samuel Basallo - Fantasy Baseball Prospects Waiver Wire Stashes (Week 12)
BALLER MOVE: Add in 12-team leagues CALL-UP ETA: June ANALYSIS: Samuel Basallo might be the best hitter in the minors right now, and he has catcher eligibility. What more do you need to know (I know catcher is super deep this year, but still)? Basallo has been an age-to-level monster for the majority of his pro […]

Andrew Painter - Fantasy Baseball Prospects Waiver Wire Stashes (Week 12)
BALLER MOVE: Add in 12-team leagues CALL-UP ETA: June ANALYSIS: Painter's last two starts don't give a ton of confidence that he is ready to be in the majors. It may not even be before the All-Star break before we see him, but that does not mean we are in stash territory. The good news is, […]

Colby Thomas - Fantasy Baseball Prospects Waiver Wire Stashes (Week 12)
BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ team leagues CALL-UP ETA: July ANALYSIS: The A's continue to lose, and Colby Thomas continues to hit homers in Triple-A.
