Jordan Lawlar is a fantasy baseball waiver wire stash for Week 6 (2024). Target Jordan Lawlar as a top prospect free-agent waiver wire pickup for fantasy baseball.
BALLER MOVE: Stash Everywhere
CALL-UP ETA: August 2024
ANALYSIS: The beginning of 2024 didn't go as hoped for the Arizona Diamondbacks 2021 first-round draft pick (sixth overall), shortstop Jordan Lawlar. Thanks to a ruptured UCL tendon in his right thumb back in March, Lawlar, the #8 prospect in all of Major League Baseball, was forced to miss the first two months of the season until finally making his debut on May 29.
While rehabbing in the Arizona Coast League (ACL), Lawlar has been electric at the plate, hitting .320 with three doubles, five steals, and eight RBI over his last seven games. It appears that Lawlar will be making his way to Triple-A Reno in the next few days, his final stop before rejoining the big league club at some point in 2024. Lawlar struggled in his first showing with the D-Backs last year, batting .129 in 14 games, however, he was added to the postseason roster but played sparingly with just two plate appearances.
Jordan Lawlar (#Dbacks) delivered a three-hit performance in the Arizona Complex League.

Last year's experience may be the key to unlocking Lawlar's full potential, the 21-year-old has above-average grades in all five categories but possesses game-changing speed that can make a huge impact for fantasy managers down the stretch. Arizona will want to give Lawlar some time to find his groove at the highest level of the minors, but it's only a matter of time until he's called back up.
Not only fleet-footed but also an intelligent runner, Lawlar picks his spots well and has only been caught stealing 13 times in 99 attempts across his minor league career. Currently available in 91% of Yahoo leagues and 98% of ESPN leagues, Lawlar is a must-stash for fantasy teams lacking in the steals category.
