Sleeper.com NBA DFS Prop Picks - Over/Under Props for Friday, March 22

Zion Williamson - NBA DFS Lineups, Betting Picks, Daily Fantasy Basketball

Sleeper NBA DFS prop picks for March 22, 2024. Use Jake's NBA over/under props recommendations to win money on Sleeper.

Welcome to our Sleeper NBA DFS prop picks for Friday, March 22. Friday’s eight-game slate will be overshadowed by the start of March Madness, much like what happened yesterday. The first round of the tournament is always entertaining and this wouldn’t be the first time NBA players seemingly cared more about the tournament than their own games. There’s a reason why they call this section of NBA games the ‘silly season,’ because the games are borderline meaningless. Matchups versus in-conference opponents are the only wins that matter and players will accept any extra rest offered to prepare for the postseason.

One specific bet that isn’t listed on Sleeper’s app but needs to be addressed is Jaden McDaniels.  McDaniels is looking to make it three straight games where he’s taken at least 13 shots and his lines haven’t been adjusted to accommodate his increase in usage. This has potential to be one of the top bets for the next couple games, so make sure you are monitoring his availability and line movement tonight for any viable bets.

Sleeper offers some of the best and easiest-to-win NBA DFS games in the industry. Sleeper DFS works just like regular player prop betting -- there are no large-field tournaments in which to get lost. You're not playing against other people; you're just playing against the projections. Here are some of our favorite NBA prop picks for Friday's eight-game slate.

Announcement: We have two awesome new Props Optimizers for the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, and NCAA! The PrizePicks Optimizer and Prop Bets Optimizer are both available in our new Props Premium Package, which includes exclusive access to RotoBaller's VIP Discord chat rooms for props and betting.

NBA DFS Props - Over/Under Picks for Friday, March 22

Jeremy Sochan OVER 22.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

Be forewarned that checking the Spurs’ game log will not help validate any over bets placed on Jeremy Sochan. However, simply playing the Grizzlies gives every opposing player a chance to hit their overs. Already we know Sochan can be inconsistent due to his team-first role, but the few, albeit random times he’s severely underperformed came against teams he was forced to help more on defense. Since Memphis lacks talent across the board, it’s easy to assume Sochan will get his fair share of shots even if he spends most of his energy on defense.

Rebounds and assists might be the way to go here since his scoring can be so terribly inconsistent, but a repeat of one of those high-scoring nights make this one of the easiest cashes of the night. Sochan will never be a score-first player, but he’s scored at least 20 points in half of his last six games. With his combination stats line sitting so low in an enticing matchup, betting on Sochan to score here should pay dividends.

Zion Williamson OVER 37.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

Don’t put too much stock into players failing to produce versus the Magic. They’ve been one of the few teams that have been fully-engaged defensively all season while consistently limiting some of the league’s top players. Orlando’s defense is no joke and Zion Williamson not being able to score against them says more about their defensive structure than it does Williamson’s scoring ability. He had a rough night that was compounded by a relentlessly-annoying defensive game plan.

Even if he had a productive game, the Pelicans weren’t winning with Williamson leading the charge. The Heat’s defense produces a similar aura, but we’ve already seen Williamson run, quite literally, through this team despite not getting the win back in mid-February.

Williamson took 22 shots, scoring 23 points and finishing a single rebound and three assists away from a triple-double. Since Brandon Ingram is still a few days away from returning, not only do CJ McCollum, Trey Murphy III, and Herbert Jones have upside, but Williamson will be the guy for New Orleans once again and should be in for a massive game to make up for yesterday’s blowout loss.

Kawhi Leonard OVER 30.5 Points + Rebounds

The big news surrounding Kawhi Leonard isn’t how well he is currently playing, but more what was going on with his corner-three attempt that was contested by the teammate who passed him the ball.

Regardless, it’s not the only awkward situation the Clippers have found themselves in. With so many superstars, resting players late in the season can directly lead to losses and Los Angeles is only seven games ahead of the 10th place Warriors. Rest may not come in the direct form of sitting out games, but we should start seeing specific Clippers taking it easy in specific matchups.

In the first game between these two teams Wednesday, Leonard finished with 24 points on 16 shots. James Harden dished out 14 assists and Paul George led both teams in scoring with 27 points. All in all, the Clippers dominated start to finish and Leonard only played 28 minutes. Since he’s almost too valuable to waste on a second game versus Portland, expect another sub-30 minute outing here to gear up for the Clippers playing five games in the next nine days.
