IDP Waiver Wire Pickups and Fantasy Football Streamers for Week 11 (2023)

Mitch Blatt's top IDP waiver wire adds and defensive streamers for Week 11 of the 2023 fantasy football season. These LB, DL, and DB have matchups worth exploiting.

In Week 10, we saw our share of great defensive performances.

The 49ers held the Jaguars to three points in a 31-point victory. Fred Warner and Talanoa Hufanga made interceptions, and Javon Hargrave and Nick Bosa both made 1.5 sacks. The Colts beat the Patriots in an exciting battle of defenses by a score of 10-6. Well, neither offense did anything to prevent that outcome. The Browns and Ravens traded defensive scores in a game the Browns ultimately won by two.

Now, we head into Week 11, and it's time to make some changes to your IDP fantasy football team. Here are the best DL, LB, and DBs to add for Week 11 waivers.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

IDP Waiver Wire Adds In Shallow Leagues

Kyle Hamilton, S, BAL

Would you believe Kyle Hamilton is only rostered in 36% of Sleeper IDP leagues? It's hard to believe when he's one of the biggest second-year IDP breakouts, but that's the fact. Hamilton ranks No. 10 among defensive backs in tackles, and his big play ability, while not always flashing, is always present.

While he has made just three sacks and two interceptions, I believe he has it in him to finish with even more impact plays down the stretch. This past week, he made eight tackles and a pick-six in a loss to the Cleveland Browns.

Cam Taylor-Britt, CB, CIN

With a Week 10 interception, Taylor-Britt has now made interceptions in four of the past five games, including one pick-six. Taylor-Britt, who is in his second year, has looked shaky at times. He allowed three touchdowns through the air last season in just 360 coverage plays, and while he has gotten better this year, he is still only grading at 63.1 overall on PFF.

Nonetheless, he has very good hands, so he should continue to make interceptions and pass defenses. His interception skills were evident in college. He made five interceptions in his four years at Nebraska and returned his interceptions for an average of 30.0 yards and one touchdown.

Two interceptions in 2020 were enough to put him in the top 10 for the Big Ten conference. His return ability was also evident as a punt returner, as he landed at No. 3 in the conference for punt return yards in 2020. He has a lot of value in leagues that reward points for return yards.

Kenny Moore, CB, IND

Kenny Moore is still only rostered in 21% of Sleeper leagues. And while he did not make an interception this week and his tackles were somewhat down (just six combined tackles) against a Patriots team that didn't throw the ball well or move it much at all in a 10-6 loss, he still scored 7.7 fantasy points even in an off week.

Against a stronger passing offense, Moore will have more chances to make tackles. After a bye in Week 11, some such opportunities come in Week 12 (vs. Tampa Bay) and Week 14 (@Cincinnati).

Jordan Whitehead, S, NYJ

Whitehead, who is available in 90% of Sleeper leagues, made nine tackles and an interception in Week 10. He continues to be one of the best tackling defensive backs in the league. He is on pace for almost 100 tackles over the course of the season, and he has already set a career-high with four interceptions.

Jordyn Brooks, LB, SEA

Brooks is coming off a down game in Week 10. He only made three tackles against the Commanders, but he made 10 or more tackles in each of the two games prior. He has also made 3.5 sacks since Week 4.

Jessie Bates III, S, ATL

Jessie Bates III has made six or more tackles in each of the past three weeks. In Week 10, he outdid himself, making 13 tackles. He's still only rostered in 22% of Sleeper leagues, so you might well be able to add him.

Don't rely on him to make interceptions, however. While he has pretty good ball skills and he made three interceptions in the first three weeks of the season, he hasn't made an interception since Week 3.

Nate Landman, LB, ATL

Landman has solidified himself as the Falcons' starting linebacker and a strong IDP producer. He is on the field for nearly all of Atlanta's snaps. He has made a sack in each of the past two games, and he made his first interception this week. In addition, he also made eight tackles in Atlanta's loss to the Arizona Cardinals. The Falcons are on bye in Week 11, then Landman comes back for a home again against the New Orleans Saints.

IDP Waiver Wire Adds In Deep Leagues

Dayo Odeyingbo, DL, IND

This third-year defensive lineman from Vanderbilt has gotten better in each of his three seasons in the league. Last year, he made five sacks, 4.5 more than he made as a rookie. Now, having made three sacks in a Week 10 win over the Patriots, Odeyingbo has surpassed his second-year sack total with six.

Add to that his propensity to force and recover fumbles. He has two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery this year.

DeAndre Houston-Carson, S, HOU

Houston-Carson has seen a big increase in playing time since being signed by the Texans from the Ravens' practice squad. He has played over half of the Texans' snaps and even more in Houston's Week 10 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

This past week, he made seven tackles and an interception as the Texans won on a last-second field goal. While Houston-Carson has been a depth piece for most of his eight-year career, the Texans have injuries at safety that could keep him on the field. Jimmie Ward missed practice all week and then missed Week 10, so Houston-Carson is a go if Ward misses practice in Week 11, too.

Keanu Neal, LB/S, PIT

In his first year with the Steelers, Neal emerged as a jack-of-all-trades who could play positions all over the field. He has lined up as an inside linebacker more than 140 times, as a slot corner 108 times, and as a free safety 102 times. As such, Sleeper lists Neal as an "LB/DB," a rare example of dual eligibility that could give you an edge.

He made eight tackles and an interception this week, and he made seven or more tackles in each of the two previous weeks.

Paulson Adebo, CB, NO

You know about Paulson Adebo if you read my Week 10 IDP Waiver Wire Column. He has been on a tear, making interceptions lately and forcing fumbles. While he didn't pick up any more impact plays in Week 10, he did make nine tackles, a season-high. It was enough for him to score 14.8 RotoBaller Standard IDP points. Not a bad outing.

Next week, the Saints are on bye. Starting in Week 14 though, he has a two-week stretch against Bryce Young and Tommy Devito (or whoever the Giants are starting at that point).

Taron Johnson, CB, BUF

Johnson makes a fair amount of solo tackles each week. Not only has he made over 25 solo tackles since Week 6, but he has also made tackles behind the line of scrimmage, sacks, and pass defenses. This week, he added five combined tackles, but he didn't make many impact plays. He's not a CB1 by any means, but Johnson would be a good CB2 or CB3 in deep leagues.

Derrick Brown, DT, CAR

Brown blew up with 10 combined tackles, including nine solo tackles, in Week 10. He has shown the ability to have a huge tackle game from time to time. In Week 1, he made eight solo tackles and a sack against the Atlanta Falcons. But he also has some games with just a couple of solo tackles. He has a wide range of outcomes.
