Romeo Doubs, Michael Thomas, Deebo Samuel: Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Picks For Week 10 Fantasy Football?

Should I start Romeo Doubs, Michael Thomas, Deebo Samuel for Week 10? Fantasy football start em, sit em picks and recommendations for the 2023 NFL season.

The bulk of the Week 10 NFL slate is finally here, meaning it's time for fantasy managers to make tough, last-minute start 'em, sit 'em decisions. Romeo Doubs, Michael Thomas, and Deebo Samuel are all names fantasy managers are discussing leading up to Sunday's games.

None of these players are currently putting forth spectacular production, but each offers some value in the fantasy football world.

Should you start Doubs, Thomas, or Samuel in Week 10? Let's dive in.

Should I Start Romeo Doubs for Fantasy Football?

The Green Bay Packers aren't exactly known around the NFL as an offensive juggernaut. In fact, quite the opposite. Led by 25-year-old quarterback Jordan Love, the Packers don't really have an offensive identity.

With star running back Aaron Jones hobbled for a majority of the season and with promising young receiver Christian Watson struggling mightily, Love has turned to second-year wideout Doubs as his go-to guy. However, it hasn't always turned out as planned.

After a promising start to the 2023 season, one in which Doubs averaged over eight targets per game through the first four weeks, his production has since slowed dramatically. Over the last month, the speedy WR has only 10 total receptions for just 88 yards and two touchdowns. Doubs does have a favorable matchup this week against a weak Steelers secondary, however, he should only be considered a WR3 or flex at best.

Should I Start Michael Thomas for Fantasy Football?

Remember the days when Michael Thomas was the "man" in fantasy football, and you couldn't wait to select him on draft day? Yeah, well, those days are long gone. As we sit here today, Thomas is still a talented pass catcher and fantasy contributor, but he is nothing more than a serviceable player on a fantasy championship contender.

The problem for Thomas this season has been twofold. Firstly, his quarterback, Derek Carr, hasn't been the difference maker most thought he would be in 2023. Two, running back Alvin Kamara and fellow receiver Chris Olave have taken the majority of the targets.

It's been an uphill battle this year for the seasoned veteran, and his fantasy upside is limited. Through the first eight games, Thomas has registered 38 receptions for 439 yards and just one measly touchdown. His 62 targets aren't terrible, but he is no better than a WR3 in most standard and PPR leagues as he heads into a Week 10 showdown with the Vikings.

Should I Start Deebo Samuel for Fantasy Football?

If you drafted uber-talented wide receiver Samuel in 2023, you probably were aware of the warning label on your purchase. It read: "Beware, injury-prone package". This has proven to be true once again this season, as Deebo found himself on the sidelines after leaving the Week 6 contest versus Cleveland with a shoulder injury, and hasn't played since.

Having the star playmaker on your fantasy roster is like having a really expensive toy that always gets broken. You always want to play with it, but you can't quite seem to get it to work. With just 20 receptions for 302 yards and one touchdown along with 95 rushing yards and a score to his name, Deebo hasn't carried anyone's fantasy teams through the first half of the season.

That's the bad news. The good news is, Adam Schefter reported on Thursday that number 19 is on track to return to the field this Sunday against Jacksonville. Will he be 100%? Will he immediately contribute to your fantasy team? With this guy, you just never know. But one thing we know for sure is, he is a weekly boom or bust candidate. He could dominate or disappoint. For Week 10 he is a WR2 who could finish the day as the best receiver in fantasy, or potentially the worst. You're probably taking a swing on his upside but be prepared for disaster.
