Indianapolis Colts Schedule: 2023 NFL Games, Strength Of Schedule, Fantasy Outlooks

Jonathan Taylor - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

What is the Colts schedule? View the Indianapolis Colts schedule for 2023. NFL games, dates, times and strength of schedule analysis for fantasy football.

The Indianapolis Colts are in a period of transition for the third straight season. They will feature a new starting quarterback after Philip Rivers, Carson Wentz, and Matt Ryan. Their instability at the game’s most crucial position converted them from playoff contenders to afterthoughts.

The Colts addressed their most glaring concern by drafting former Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson. While there have been concerns regarding his accuracy and small sample size as a starter, they believe he will be a better fit than Will Levis.

Indianapolis can start anew in 2023. However, it remains to be seen if they can take advantage of having the fourth weakest strength of schedule based on their opponents’ records from last season.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Thoughts On The Indianapolis Colts 2023 Schedule

The Colts get the benefit of playing against two weak divisions. The AFC South is wide open, even if the Jacksonville Jaguars won it last season. Every team, including Indianapolis, has a shot for an automatic postseason berth.

Likewise, the NFC South is on their schedule, and it’s also every team for itself after Tom Brady rendered his irrevocable retirement. Those ten games will make or break the Colts’ season under new head coach Shane Steichen.

Lastly, the Colts have a pretty easy schedule because they have no Thursday or Monday games. They would have to adjust their body clock when they face the Patriots in Germany in Week 10). Their players can also develop a good rhythm because they mostly play 1 p.m. games.

Indianapolis Colts Season Record Prediction

The Colts will finish with a 7-10 record in 2023. At a certain point, Richardson will take over from Gardner Minshew and usher in a new era of Colts football. However, there will be growing pains as he competes against more complex defenses.

Consistency will be the key for Indianapolis, especially in games against their division rivals. It’s either the floodgates open, or they experience drought on offense. Jonathan Taylor’s injury remains a concern. However, his return will be a big help, regardless of who their quarterback will be.

Finally, can their All-Pro-laden defense rise to the occasion? They gave up 25.1 points per game last season, tied for third-worst in the league. Shaquille Leonard should be raring to bounce back after playing only three games in 2022.
