Free College Baseball Betting Picks - Today's Best Bets, Expert Predictions (4/21/23)

Baseball Betting Picks - Today's Best Bets

Casey Wilson's top NCAA college baseball betting picks and best bets for today's NCAA Baseball games on 4/21/23. His free picks include moneylines and moneyline parlays.

We enter our third Friday of RotoBallers College Baseball Betting Picks after a fantastic first two weekends are in the books. We are a little past the halfway point of conference play, and the final field of 64 is starting to shake up. This should be a fun NCAA tournament this year, as several teams have a real chance of winning a National Championship. We are up four units from picks solely in this article since it was published two weeks ago. Let's keep the momentum rolling into today!

We have beautiful weather around the country, three total moneyline bets, plus a two-team parlay. We will have five teams to pay attention to today, making for an action-packed baseball Friday. If you want even more of my free bets, check out my MLB Player Props article published earlier this morning. Let's have a profitable Friday to get the weekend rolling.

Sportsbooks have recently taken away game totals and run lines in College Baseball. This article will focus on money lines and often parlaying teams to get better odds. Not all books have college lines, so DraftKings Sportsbook will be my primary book, but if you find a line on another book, feel free to use that as well. With no further adieu, here are my favorite bets for Friday, April 21st, 2023.

Today's College Baseball Betting Picks

Florida @ South Carolina

UF: Hurston Waldrep | SC: Jack Mahoney

#3 Florida (31-8) and #6 South Carolina (33-6) are set to battle for game two of their weekend series after the Gamecocks run-ruled the Gators 13-3 last night. Florida will send Hurston Waldrep (6-1, 4.15 ERA) to the bump against South Carolinas Jack Mahoney (3-1, 3.22 ERA). Waldrep is coming off an SEC pitcher of the week performance after allowing one run on three hits with eight strikeouts last Saturday against Georgia. Waldrep, in my opinion, is the best arm on this staff, and after losing game one, the Gators need an ace outing from him.

The Gators are led by two-way star Jac Caglianone (.382 AVG, 22 HRs, 58 RBIs), who leads the country with 22 home runs and is Florida's Sunday starter who can run it up to 100 MPH. Shortstop Josh Rivera (.400 AVG, 14 HRs, 52 RBIs) and lead-off hitter Wyatt Langford (.389 AVG, 9 HRs, 49 Rs) round out arguably the best first three hitters in the country. I look for them to make a significant impact in this ballgame today. The Gators will bounce back here and prove why they are the number three team in the country and a serious threat to win a national championship.

Pick: Florida Moneyline (-105) DraftKings Sportsbook

Today's College Baseball Betting Picks

Southern Miss @ Coastal Carolina

USM: Tanner Hall | CCU: Matthew Potok

#24 Southern Miss (22-13) travels to Brooks Stadium, home of the #10 Coastal Carolina Chanticleers (24-11) in a Sun Belt top 25 showdown. Brooks Stadium is a bandbox, and with Myrtle Beach weather, the ball flies here. These two teams couldn't be more opposite, as Coastal is top ten in the country in home runs and runs scored. Southern Miss is top 50 in the country in ERA and strikeouts. The apparent advantage for tomorrow goes to Southern Miss as they have their ace and All-American Tanner Hall getting the rock.

Hall is the third-best starting pitching in the country behind LSUs Paul Skenes and Wake Forests Rhett Lowder. Hall (7-2, 2.29 ERA) will face Matthew Potok (2-2, 5.67 ERA). Just looking at numbers, you can see the obvious advantage. Southern Miss will have more opportunities in this ballpark to score runs while having the edge on the mound with Hall. This may be my favorite weekend series, but when Hall is on the bump, we will always back him and the Golden Eagles.

Pick: Southern Miss Moneyline (+120) DraftKings Sportsbook

Today's College Baseball Betting Picks

Vanderbilt @ Tennessee

VU: Carter Holton | TENN: Andrew Lindsey

#4 Vanderbilt (29-8) travels to Tennessee (23-14) for another SEC battle. Tennessee, the preseason favorite to win the national championship, dropped out of the top 25 for the first time after getting swept in Fayetteville last weekend against Arkansas. The Volunteers again will send Andrew Lindsey (0-2, 2.49 ERA) to the mound for his second-weekend start of the season after he replaced All-American Chase Dollander last weekend. Lindsey went three innings last Friday, giving up four runs, two of which were earned. He faces the Commodores preseason All-American and ace lefty pitcher Carter Holton (4-0, 3.46 ERA).

Tennessee's lineup is full of lefty bats. Holton and the entire Commodores rotation are left-handed, and all three are very good. I don't want to bet against Dollander and Beam on Saturday and Sunday, but today we have the most significant mismatch of the weekend, and we need to take advantage of it. Enrique Bradfield Jr. (.308 AVG, 26 SBs, 49 Rs) and RJ Schreck (.362 AVG, 9 HRs, 42 RBIs) should have this offense ready to roll against Lindsey and the Volunteers. I expect Vandy to take game one on the road here tonight.

Pick: Vanderbilt Moneyline (-155) DraftKings Sportsbook

Today's College Baseball Betting Picks (Parlay)

East Carolina @ Wichita State | High Point @ Campbell

ECU: Trey Yesavage | WSU: Clark Candiotti

HPU: Gus Hughes | CU: Cade Kuehler

As I said last week, #7 East Carolina (29-8) rarely loses when they send Trey Yesavage to the mound. Yesavage (6-0, 2.83 ERA) will oppose Wichita State (21-15) in a conference battle of the American Athletic. The Shockers wist flat-out be outmatched against one of the best arms in the country.

Speaking of one of the best arms in the country, #11 Campbell (28-8) will send ace Cade Kuehler to the mound. Kuehler (7-0, 2.60 ERA) has been dominant and a fast riser up the draft board this spring. He will face Big South foe High Point (13-24) at home, which should be one of his better starts of the season.

Pick: East Carolina ML + Campbell ML (-130) DraftKings Sportsbook
