Fantasy Basketball Mid-Week Streamers: Week 13

NBA fantasy baseball streamers waiver wire pickups

Thunder Dan Palyo looks at some mid-week waiver wire options for fantasy basketball leagues. These players may be free agents to target on waivers in Week 13.

It's a glorious schedule for the remainder of the week in the NBA as we have six games tonight, nine games on Friday, seven on Saturday, and another eight on Sunday. That's simply the best, most-balanced stretch of games we have seen in a while. And it's a beautiful thing if you're looking to stream some players this week in fantasy basketball.

Most leagues limit how many players you can stream each week in daily leagues. If your league only allows three moves per week, you need to be very efficient with your moves and grab players who will help you maximize your games played and help you win an extra category or two of counting stats.

The goal of this article each Thursday morning will be to help you plan out your roster moves for the remainder of the week. By this point of the week, you should start to get an idea of what categories you may need help with and where your weekly opponent is the strongest and weakest (in H2H formats). If you're playing roto, you don't have to gameplan quite as much, but you'll still want to maximize the stats your team can accumulate during the week. All the rostered percentages used in this article are from Yahoo. Let's see who can help us finish the week strong.

Weekly Schedule: Thursday to Sunday

Teams that play only one game (AVOID): Memphis, New Orleans, Washington

Teams that play three games (TARGET): Dallas, OKC, Philadelphia, Portland

Teams that play Back-to-Backs (TARGET): Atlanta, Dallas, Indiana, Minnesota, OKC, Philadelphia, Portland, Utah

Shallow League Streaming Options

T.J. Warren - SF/PF (30%)

It's been a few days since the Kevin Durant news broke that he would be out about a month with his injury, and Warren's ownership has been slow to increase, so you still have some time to add him in standard leagues. He's a natural scorer and Brooklyn needs everyone to help pitch in and replace the 30 points a night that KD was contributing. Warren should be the biggest beneficiary of Durant's absence, and while he is pretty scoring-dependent, we could see him push for 20 points a night here consistently.

Andrew Nembhard - PG/SG (25%)

With Tyrese Haliburton going down last night (a single tear rolls down my cheek) and leaving on crutches, it looks like Nembhard could be the starting point guard for Indiana for at least a week or two (let's hope for Tyrese's sake, and those of us who have him on our teams that's it's not much longer!) He's not a splashy fantasy player but should contribute some solid scoring and assist numbers while also grabbing some steals. He's a priority add, go grab him now!

Grant Williams - SF/PF (26%)

Williams has been on and off rosters all season long, but he's played 37 and 38 minutes in his last two games and flashed some upside with a 20-point, 8-rebound game against the Bulls earlier this week. He's a very low-risk option as he will not usually hurt you anywhere, but don't expect much other than threes, points, and boards from the Boston forward either.

Chris Boucher - PF/C (20%)

Boucher's minutes have been far from consistent, but he remains productive when he's on the floor and we saw another glimpse of what he can do on Tuesday when he went for 12 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and one three/steal in only 15 minutes. The matchup against Charlotte is great for big men and the Raptors get them again tonight.

Torrey Craig - PF (17%)

Craig continues to see a lot of run for Phoenix as they have had to deploy all their bench players regularly over the last few weeks with their entire starting lineup injured (other than Mikal Bridges). Craig is providing some solid points, boards, and threes and can contribute a few blocks, too, occasionally.

Deep Leagues Streaming Options

Kenrich Williams - SF/PF (15%)

Williams has really settled into a solid 24-minute role off the bench for OKC and while their minutes and rotations remain fairly unpredictable, Williams has been one guy who has been rock solid for them and helped fill the void left behind when Poku got hurt. He does a little of everything but is mainly helping you with points, rebounds, and threes as well as an elite 55% shooting from the floor. With three games to finish the week, he's one of my favorite deep-league adds.

Pat Connaughton - SG/SF (11%)

Patty C can ball and is getting a chance to play more regularly on the wing due to Khris Middleton's second lengthy absence. He's starting at the three and is a three-point marksman who can also rebound at an elite rate for a guy his size. He's pretty limited to just points, threes, and boards but unlike Grant Williams or Torrey Craig, he could hurt your FG% with his 36% shooting.

Dario Saric - PF/C (8%) and Damion Lee - SG/SF (5%)

Phoenix has been a disaster with injuries ravaging their entire roster. With Deandre Ayton on the shelf now, too, we have seen Saric emerge as the most productive big man to roster, more so than Bismack Biyombo or Jock Landale.

And while Duane Washington Jr. has put up some volume scoring, Damion Lee has been quietly productive in Landry Shamet's absence, too. His last two games have been 22-7-4 and 11-4-4 and he's not going to tank FG% nearly as badly as Washington could (DWJ shot 3-14 last night).

Hamidou Diallo - SG/SF (7%)

When you think about a guy who has flashed major fantasy potential a number of times, but who has never been able to put it all together and become a reliable rotation player in the NBA, you have to be thinking about Diallo.

This dude just stuffs the stat sheet with big minutes, but most of his opportunities to play a lot in the league have only come on bad teams when there are bunch of injuries or it's the end of the season and teams are flat-out tanking. Well, he's on a really bad team right now that also happens to have a bunch or injuries and no incentive to win. So let's fire up some Hamidou! Over his last seven games, he's averaging 12-5 with 2.0 steals/blocks and he's widely available.
