Jason Brownlee - WR - Southern Miss
I've watched a lot of college film in bowl game prep, and Brownlee is a player who really stands out to me.
The 6-foot-3 receiver caught 52 passes for 819 yards and seven touchdowns this season. He has a real nose for the end zone, catching 20 touchdowns in his three collegiate seasons. He finished eighth in the Sun Belt in receiving yards this season.
Simply put, Brownlee's a playmaker, and I think he could carve out a pro career.
Frank Gore Jr. - RB - Southern Miss
Are we going to get another Frank Gore in the NFL? Maybe!
The video above is of Gore, a running back, throwing a touchdown, because Southern Miss has had to use him at QB at times over the last two years. He's 15-for-27 with 349 yards and six passing touchdowns. Weird, right?
But the main appeal of a running back is usually his running. Gore had his first 1,000-yard season this year and found the end zone seven times on the ground, and he also added a career-high 219 receiving yards. He's not the dominant force that his father was, but he's a strong runner.
Bradley Rozner - WR - Rice
Injuries at quarterback mean this Rice offense might not be a lot of fun to watch in this one, but hopefully we get a handful of good plays from Owls wide receiver Bradley Rozner.
Rozner burst back on the scene this year. Back in 2019, he caught 55 passes for 770 yards and five touchdowns, but he spent 2020 and 2021 injured. This year, he bounced back with 41 catches for 834 yards with nine scores.
His ability to make plays down the field could land Rozner a camp spot as a UDFA.
