Yahoo MLB DFS Advice (4/10/17): Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks

Happy Sunday night and/or Monday morning!  With five afternoon games and five evening games there's a total of 10 games on the slate for Monday. I'm going to provide options for all of the games. Yahoo has some great value options to choose from for DFS games so let's get down to business.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for Yahoo on 4/10/17. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays on Yahoo.

You can read our FanDuel and DraftKings DFS lineup picks as well. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @justinrklein.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on Yahoo

Colorado Rockies vs whomever they face on the Padres (currently TBD) at Coors Field in Denver, Colorado. Right now it looks like the Dads will send Jarred Cosart or Zach Lee to the hill. Although it doesn't clarify the starting pitcher it helps us prepare quite a bit, because they're both fairly bad right handed pitchers. This brings most of the Rockies into play, and I'm especially interested in the cheap guys and the left handed guys. If you can find a cheap left handed guy that's even better.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on Yahoo

James Paxton vs HOU ($43)

James Paxton looked terrific in his first outing against these same Astros and now he'll face them in the pitcher friendly confines of Safeco Field. While it helps the hitters somewhat to have just seen Paxton I believe that his stuff is good enough that it won't matter.

Jharel Cotton at KC ($35)

Jharel Cotton had a rough first outing and because of that he might fly under the radar a bit in this matchup with the Royals. Don't let him get by you as he'll face a fairly weak offense in a pitcher friendly ballpark at a solid price. Not only do I think Cotton bounces back, but I think he bounces back in a big way, so join me and get him into your lineups.

DFS Infielders to Consider on Yahoo

Catcher (C) - Tony Wolters  vs SD ($13)

Tony Wolters will get the start as the left handed catching option for the Rockies. Not only does he hit lefties well, but he's outstanding at home at Coors Field where he sports a .346/.409/.548 triple slash. This is what I meant when I said cheap and/or left handed guys from the Rockies.
First Base (1B) - Paul Goldschmidt at SF ($24)

Goldy and the D-Backs will face the LHP Matt Moore and the Giants on Monday and that bodes well for Paul and his fantasy owners. In his career Goldy has destroyed southpaws to the tune of a 1.037 OPS. At AT&T Park Goldy has terrified the Giants by clobbering 57 hits, including 24 that went for extra bases, in 50 games played. He's expensive but well worth paying up for on Monday.

Second Base (2B) - Jose Peraza at PIT ($11)

Jose Peraza has struggled out of the gate somewhat and his price has dropped as a reflection of that. On Monday he'll face the inconsistent Tyler Glasnow and the Pirates. Not only do I believe that Jose will hit or walk his way onto base, but I think he'll be successful stealing when he gets on. This is because the Pirates Catcher, Francisco Cervelli, is terrible at throwing out runners. Last season he posted a caught stealing percentage of 19%. If 81% of the people trying to steal I'm pretty sure the speedy Peraza can nab a base or three.

Shortstop (SS) - Aledmys Diaz at WAS ($19)

Thus far this season Diaz has picked up where he left off last season as he's already notched two doubles, HR and SB in his first five games played. On Monday he'll face RHP Tanner Roark at Nationals Park. On the surface this might not seem like a great matchup, but it is an amazingly good one. Not only is Nationals Park great for right handed HR power, but Diaz has posted an insanely good .248 ISO against RHP. As a cherry on top, Aledmys has posted an ISO of .319 against anyone in March and April in his young career.

Third Base (3B) - Kyle Seager - vs HOU ($16)

Seager has a juicy matchup on Monday as he'll face RHP Charlie Morton at home at Safeco Field. While all the talk about Morton centers around his changed approach, the fact hasn't changed that he's been awful against left handed hitters in his career as he's allowed them a triple slash of .306/.391/.464. When you add that to the fact that Kyle has managed to post a wRC+ of 129 against RHP in his career we have a solid option at the hot corner for Monday.

DFS Outfielders to Consider on Yahoo

Corey Dickerson at NYY ($16) - CDick has destroyed RHP in his career as he's posted an impressive .553 SLG and a .264 ISO against them. On Monday he'll face Michael Pineda at Yankee Stadium. In case you've forgotten, Pineda is right handed and the right field bleachers in the Bronx are not that far from home plate. On top of that CDick has managed to notch eight hits including two doubles and two HR against Pineda in just 14 at bats. For $16 passing on Corey (against Pineda and at Yankee Stadium) on Monday is insane.

Jarrett Parker vs ARI ($7) - In his career Parker has mashed RHP to the tune of a .219 ISO. On Monday he'll face RHP Taijuan Walker at home at AT&T Park. While that stadium is a cavern, Jarrett has managed to notch a .210 ISO at home against RHP. For just $7 I want Parker in every lineup that I can get him in on Monday.
