Wide Receiver Matchups to Target in Week 16: DK Metcalf, Jahan Dotson, DJ Moore, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Juju Smith-Schuster

DK Metcalf - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Ryan's favorite WR vs. CB matchups to exploit for Week 16 of 2022 - DFS wide receivers to target on DraftKings & FanDuel. These WR/CB matchups are GPP and cash game sleepers.

Week 16 will be full of exciting and unexpected games like the NFL has given us all year. The NFL has been full of surprises between the Eagles' 13-1 start and the Minnesota Vikings pulling off the biggest comeback victory in NFL history.

Hopefully, this DFS article will help you win some money while we watch our favorite teams and players this Saturday. Matchups for the wide receiver position aren't always as black and white as they can be for other positions. Receivers sometimes move around the formation or may face shadow coverage, meaning these matchups need to be broken down deeper based on that data.

Now, here are the top WR vs. CB matchups for Week 16. Use these to set season-long lineups, as well as gain a competitive edge in the DFS games. The matchup data used in this article is from PFF.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

DK Metcalf, Seattle Seahawks

DraftKings $7100 / FanDuel $8000 - vs. Joshua Williams

D.K. Metcalf has been the overall WR12 (PPR) and has a matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs, who currently allow the seventh-most fantasy points to wide receivers (avg.). Metcalf has had a solid year so far, averaging 66 yards per game. Unfortunately, his teammate, Tyler Lockett, suffered a broken index finger and will miss Week 16. Metcalf could see a huge stream of targets this week, likely hitting double digits.

Joshua Williams will be the primary defender in this game, allowing 15.4 yards per reception to opposing receivers. Kansas City's defense has been very weak to wideouts and with Kenneth Walker III banged up a bit, Seattle could look to air it out this week. Confidently fire up DK Metcalf in all forms of fantasy.

Jahan Dotson, Washington Commanders

DraftKings $3900 / FanDuel $5700 - vs. Deommodore Lenoir

Dotson had a hot start to the season, averaging one touchdown per game through the first four weeks. Unfortunately, he was sidelined due to injury and returned in Week 10. Dotson has seemingly come back to fantasy relevance over the past two games. He has averaged 79.5 yards and one touchdown per game over the last two and has a matchup against Deommodore Lenoir and the San Francisco 49ers this week.

The 49ers allow the least fantasy points to opposing RBs this season, likely leading Washington to pass even more than usual. Dotson has averaged 7.5 targets per game over the past two and has a nose for the endzone (six touchdowns through nine games this year). Dotson could be a great value, especially with his low $3900 DK cost.

Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions

DraftKings $7800 / FanDuel $8400 - vs. Myles Hartsfield

Amon-Ra St. Brown has been an absolute star this year, especially over the last six games. Since Week 10, St. Brown has been averaging 8.3 receptions, 95.8 receiving yards, and 0.5 touchdowns per game. At this point, he has earned the status of being a matchup-proof receiver, as he even scored 15.2 PPR points against the league-best New York Jets pass defense last week.

This week he is up against Myles Hartsfield and the Carolina Panthers. Hartsfield currently has a low 53.5 PFF coverage grade while allowing 10.1 yards per reception. St. Brown currently boasts a 28% target share, averaging nine targets per game. Don’t overthink it. Start the Sun God.

JuJu Smith-Schuster, Kansas City Chiefs

DraftKings $5800 / FanDuel $7300 - vs. Coby Bryant

Juju Smith-Schuster has had an inconsistent season thus far but has been starting to pick up the pace over the past couple of games. Over the past two weeks, Smith-Schuster has averaged 9.5 receptions and 81 yards per game. His 10.5 targets in that span lead all Kansas City players, including Travis Kelce. This week Kansas City will take on the Seattle Seahawks, who currently allow the third least fantasy points to opposing wide receivers.

The matchup on paper may seem scary, but Smith-Schuster is really starting to heat up and will be the #2 option behind Travis Kelce. Coby Bryant currently has a low 51.1 PFF coverage grade this year, allowing 10.5 yards per reception. Smith-Schuster may have burned DFS players at points this year but could be in a great spot this week.

DJ Moore, Carolina Panthers

DraftKings $5500 / FanDuel $7100 - vs. Jeff Okudah

DJ Moore has started to gain some fantasy relevance again now that Sam Darnold has taken over as starting quarterback. Over the past three games, Moore has averaged 58.7 yards per game with a 27% target share. Darnold has not been the greatest quarterback, but he has definitely given Moore a boost.

This week, they will take on Jeff Okudah and the Detroit Lions. Detroit currently allows the second most fantasy points to wide receivers and most to quarterbacks. This defense has been one to exploit all year, and with Carolina likely playing from behind, Moore will get more opportunities in a negative game script.

The Panthers have been very rush-heavy since Darnold has taken over, but Detroit has allowed just the ninth fewest points to runningbacks. Carolina will likely throw a lot this game, and Moore could put together a nice line.
