Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 5:
Marvin Harrison Jr., Arizona Cardinals
Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. finally scored in Week 4, but it did little to change what has been a brutal start. He caught one of four targets for 12 yards against the Giants and now has only five receptions for 85 yards on 13 targets through four games. Harrison has one catch or fewer in three of those games and has yet to reach 50 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, Trey McBride and Michael Wilson have become much bigger parts of Arizona's passing game, with 33 and 25 receptions, respectively.
At this point, Harrison's name and draft pedigree are doing more work for his fantasy value than his actual role. RotoBaller lists him among the receivers to consider cutting for Week 5, ranks him WR41 this week, and has him 142nd overall in its rest-of-season rankings. Managers in standard leagues can move on if there is a clearly better option available. He is easier to hold in deeper formats where the waiver wire offers less.
Tee Higgins, Cincinnati Bengals
Updating a previous report, Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins (groin, neck) did not practice on Wednesday, according to Jay Morrison of Sports Illustrated. A previous report on Wednesday suggested that Higgins would be limited at practice.
Both Higgins and star wideout Ja'Marr Chase (concussion) missed the first practice of the week, and their statuses need to be followed closely over the next two days. Even if Chase is cleared of the concussion protocol later this week and suits up this Sunday against the Miami Dolphins, Higgins will be a must-start in fantasy football lineups if he returns to practice and plays this weekend.
Higgins has 25 catches for 401 yards and a touchdown on 39 targets through the first four weeks in 2026, including an 11-catch, 157-yard day in the Week 4 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars after Chase suffered a head injury. If both Higgins and Chase are unable to play against the Dolphins, Dohnte Meyers could be Cincy's No. 1 receiver, with tight end Mike Gesicki also having a larger target share.
Jeremiyah Love, Arizona Cardinals
Arizona Cardinals rookie first-round running back Jeremiyah Love's ankle injury is not expected to impact him in the Week 5 contest at home against the visiting Detroit Lions, head coach Mike LaFleur told Tyler Drake of Arizona Sports. It sounds like "maintenance" will continue to be the keyword for the young RB. The 21-year-old from Notre Dame is dealing with a new ankle issue, but it is reportedly unrelated to the high-ankle sprain that he dealt with in the preseason in late August.
The Cardinals will continue to give Love breathers during the week, so it would not be a surprise if he is listed as a non-participant in the first practice on Wednesday. Love should be all systems go for this weekend's contest against Detroit, where he will continue to split backfield touches with Tyler Allgeier. The young and powerful RB had 14 carries for 63 yards on the ground and caught one pass for a loss of eight yards in the Week 4 loss to the New York Giants.
Love now has 35 rushing attempts in the last two weeks after carrying the ball 20 times in his first two NFL games. Against New York in Week 5, Love should have high-end RB2 upside if he continues to be more involved
Tank Dell, Houston Texans
The Houston Texans officially designated wide receiver Tank Dell (knee) to return from Injured Reserve on Wednesday, and he is practicing, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Dell is still on IR, but his 21-day window to be activated is officially open. The 26-year-old technically could return to make his 2026 debut this weekend against the division-rival Tennessee Titans, but that probably will not happen.
Dell missed all of the 2025 campaign for Houston due to a gruesome knee injury that was initially feared to be career-threatening.
The former third-rounder from Houston caught 98 of his 156 targets for 1,376 yards and 10 touchdowns in his first two seasons in the NFL with the Texans before his injury in 2024, making him an intriguing injured receiver to stash. The Texans could really use another wideout to step up alongside Nico Collins, and Dell could be that guy, even if he is not the same speedy wideout he was before his serious knee injury.
Right now, Dell is only rostered in 16% of Yahoo leagues, so he is widely available for those looking for WR depth. If he were to suit up in Week 5 he carries major risk given the ample time he has missed.
Carnell Tate, Tennessee Titans
Tennessee Titans wide receiver Carnell Tate has been one of the lone bright spots for his team this season. The No. 4 overall pick in this year's draft, Tate has quickly ascended into a high-volume role as one of quarterback Cam Ward's favorite targets. He has played at least 84% of the snaps in three of his first four NFL games, and he has seen his target total increase each of the last two weeks.
He was especially dominant in Week 4, catching nine of 12 targets for 145 yards. The only blemish on his stat line was a lost fumble. Outside of the turnover, Tate proved that he is a consistent, reliable option for the Titans in the passing game, and the team should continue to feature him as they look to break out of a 0-4 start.
Tate has surged into the mid-to-high WR2 tier for fantasy football, but managers must acknowledge that he has a slightly lower floor given that Ward is susceptible to dud outings as a passer.
