2026 Fantasy Football Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 2:
Kenyon Sadiq, New York Jets
New York Jets rookie first-round tight end Kenyon Sadiq missed valuable time during training camp this summer following a setback after hernia surgery, but he was active in the Week 1 season-opening win on Sunday over the Tennessee Titans and had an impact on offense. Sadiq caught all three of his targets in his NFL debut for 21 yards and also scored a three-yard rushing touchdown on his only carry of the game.
The Jets acknowledged that they would ease Sadiq into the fold early in his first NFL season, which was the case, as he played 42% of the offensive snaps, which was behind both Mason Taylor and Jeremy Ruckert. However, Taylor had just two catches for minus-two yards, and Ruckert caught his only target for a four-yard gain against Tennessee.
The 21-year-old from Oregon is a physical specimen with versatility and should only continue to be more involved in the Jets' downfield passing attack as the season goes, making him a priority waiver-wire pickup, even in single-TE leagues. Sadiq has much more short- and long-term fantasy upside than Taylor.
Sadiq carries low-end TE1 value with upside in a Week 2 matchup against the Green Bay Packers.
Kaelon Black, San Francisco 49ers
San Francisco 49ers running back Kaelon Black should be a priority waiver wire target for managers in 12+ team leagues. Black rushed for 65 yards on 14 carries in Week 1, and he also caught one pass for five receiving yards. This was one of the first times during Christian McCaffrey's stint with the 49ers that we saw a backup handle 10+ touches, even though McCaffrey was active. There are a few factors to consider here.
First, McCaffrey was returning from an undisclosed injury, so maybe he wasn't 100 percent and the 49ers wanted to use Black to keep him fresh. Second, the 49ers won by 20 points, so it makes a little more sense to integrate the depth players once the game gets out of hand. Still, this was a fascinating development for the 49ers and their rookie running back.
At worst, Black is a bench handcuff who would jump to the RB2 tier if McCaffrey gets hurt. At best, Black can have weekly RB3/flex value of his own in 12+ team leagues.
Antonio Williams, Washington Commanders
Washington Commanders rookie wide receiver Antonio Williams caught all four of his targets for a team-leading 64 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's divisional loss to the Eagles, stepping in to keep things close on a day when the passing offense was not clicking. The 2026 third-round pick is the WR14 on the week with one more game to be played.
While Williams is worth a look on waiver wires, managers should expect more involvement from Terry McLaurin moving forward after the veteran opened his eighth season with only two catches for 14 yards. Through one week, Williams appears to have a role in a Commanders offense that could see brighter days as the unit gels under first-year offensive coordinator David Blough.
However, his ceiling will likely still be capped, with McLaurin and Stefon Diggs projected as the team's most consistent target earners, making him a fringe FLEX option in deeper three-WR formats.
Eli Raridon, New England Patriots
New England Patriots tight end Eli Raridon converted his lone target into a two-yard touchdown reception during his NFL debut in Week 1. The 22-year-old's low target total and 54% snap share indicate that he's not ready to pass Hunter Henry on the depth chart any time soon, but we have to wonder if he's still going to be a consistent threat to produce around the goal line.
He was on the receiving end of the Patriots' only touchdown in the season opener, getting wide open as the defense paid attention to other offensive players. Managers should continue to monitor Raridon's usage and impact around the goal line, but in the meantime, he's not a bad player to speculatively add in deeper fantasy football leagues.
He'll look to replicate his goal-line success while increasing his target share in Week 2 against Pittsburgh. He profiles as a sneaky TE2 in deeper 14-team formats,
Chris Bell, Miami Dolphins
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Chris Bell made his NFL debut against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday. The Dolphins selected Bell in the third round during this year's draft. He's expected to be a significant part of the offense during his first year in Miami.
On Sunday, Bell got off to a slow start as he didn't record his first catch until the third quarter. He finished the day, hauling in one 25-yard pass on three targets in the loss to the Raiders. The good news is that Bell played over 50 percent of the offensive snaps on Sunday.
He didn't make a ton of noise in his debut, but it sounds like he's going to see steady playing time. Fantasy managers in deep leagues should consider stashing Bell for later in the season. He'll get a tough test against the San Francisco 49ers defense in Week 2, making him a better bench stash than an immediate starting option.
