Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 11:
Aaron Jones, RB, Minnesota Vikings
Minnesota Vikings running back Aaron Jones Sr. has been limited to just five games played this season due to a hamstring injury that sidelined him from Week 3 to Week 7. However, the 30-year-old has been productive since returning to the lineup.
Over his last two games, Jones Sr. has recorded 167 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown on 23 total touches. Perhaps most importantly, Jones Sr. appears to be re-emerging as Minnesota's lead back. In Week 10, Jones Sr. played 71% of the Vikings' offensive snaps, compared to just 25% for fellow running back Jordan Mason.
Jones Sr. also saw a season-high six targets in Week 10. Heading into a favorable Week 11 matchup against the Chicago Bears, Jones Sr. profiles as a solid fantasy RB2.
Christian Watson, WR, Green Bay Packers
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson had an underwhelming game in his team's Week 10 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, recording two catches for 45 yards on four targets. Still, Watson's fantasy outlook could be trending upwards coming out of the game, as Packers wideout Romeo Doubs (chest) was forced to exit Week 10 early due to a chest injury.
In three games since returning from a knee injury that delayed his start to the season, Watson has recorded eight catches for 188 yards on 12 targets. Watson is averaging 23.5 yards per reception, which demonstrates his big-play ability. If Watson can earn a few more targets going forward, he could be in line for some explosive weeks.
Additionally, the Packers have a much easier matchup in Week 11 against the New York Giants. In fantasy leagues with 12 or more teams where he remains available, Watson should be a waiver-wire target.
Romeo Doubs, WR, Green Bay Packers
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs (chest) is questionable to return to his team's Week 10 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles due to a chest injury. Doubs recorded one catch for five yards on four targets before getting hurt.
If he is unable to return, Packers wideouts Dontayvion Wicks and Christian Watson are the most likely candidates to lead the team in targets and playing time the rest of the way. Doubs has been Green Bay's most consistent wide receiver so far this season, so his absence would be a significant loss for the team.
Entering Week 10, the Packers were already without wide receivers Matthew Golden (shoulder) and Jayden Reed (collarbone, foot).
Nico Collins, WR, Houston Texans
Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins was all over the field during Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Collins made some huge catches for the Texans in this one, including a one-handed two-point conversion.
He hauled in seven of his 15 targets for 136 yards in the comeback victory. This was the first time that Collins has finished with over 100 receiving yards since Week 3, which was also against the Jags.
Collins has posted back-to-back seven-catch performances as he heads into a favorable matchup against the Tennessee Titans in Week 11.
J.K. Dobbins, RB, Denver Broncos
The Denver Broncos are considering what to do with injured running back J.K. Dobbins (foot), and placing him on Injured Reserve is a possibility, sources told Chris Tomasson of the Denver Gazette. Dobbins is getting additional medical opinions after injuring his foot late in last Thursday's 10-7 win over the Las Vegas Raiders.
Before getting hurt in Week 10, the 26-year-old had 18 rushing attempts for 77 yards while catching his only target for seven yards. Rookie second-rounder RJ Harvey is already rostered in 83% of Yahoo leagues, so he probably isn't available, but Tyler Badie might be worth a look in deeper leagues if Harvey ends up missing extended time.
If Dobbins is forced to IR, he'd miss at least four games. In his first year in Denver, Dobbins has operated as the team's lead back with 153 carries for 772 yards (5.0 yards per carry) and four touchdowns in 10 games. However, Harvey has taken on a bigger role in recent weeks.
